Well - when the government dictates that you MUST pay out at least 95-97% of all premium payments in claims, also removes all maximums and caps, and forces you to cover 100% of pre-existing conditions...

OH - and you are suppose to budget and set premiums based on an impossible target because you have no idea who might be coming in to your plan from year-to-year -

It is an impossible situation and totally unsustainable.

Premiums go up, salaries don't keep up, eventually people hit the cap. After that the gov eats the rest.

The gov eats the rest? Taxpayers eat the premium subsidies which will total approximately $32.8 billion in 2016.

Sorry, poor choice of words. My point being this was a less notice part of the multi-pronged effort to destroy medical care.

My wife and I are paying $1,685 a month for the lousy lowest cost policy and it is all out of pocket.

Over a $26,000 a year before insurance pays the first bill. If we got a subsidy we would pay hardly anything and have better health care access. I’m paying more for less to pay for others to have better than I can afford for us. That is a crock of shit.

There must be very few paying their own insurance or there would be a lot of screaming right now.

The rats played this just right. Not enough people damaged by their debacle to cause much outrage. All I hear is submission save for the election.

My Christmas generosity and any other for that matter has left me. I’ve paid enough already. I saw a dirty family of mother, father and four filthy pitiful little snot nosed children at walmart the other day. The woman was pregnant again. I’m tired of carrying their freight. Screw ‘em. They need to experience some consequences at their own expense. I’m sorry about the kids but if they suffer too maybe they will remember and break the cycle when it comes their time.

The family was white if you want to know so anyone can take the racist, bigot, homophobe crap and stuff it.

Great question. Where does all the money go. I know doctors and health care administrators and all I hear is they don’t have enough money and YET I see hospitals springing up everywhere.

Where does all the money go? More than 1/7 th of the economy now. Where does it all go. In the last four years I’ve paid more than $50,000 in premiums and not received one penny in benefits.

This year I’ll pay over $20,000 in premiums and will have to pay another $7,000 before I can receive one penny in benefits. Seems awfully out of balance to me.

I think that was goal #1. Goal number two and three was to hire 50,000 bureaucrats to run it and allow the DC lawyers to use personal medical information to profit.

Well, I find myself in the same boat as you. Monthly payments that could purchase a really nice house. Upon reflection, I feel the need to point something out. When Glenn Beck was doing a “great’ job”. I know, I know, off the hook of late..

On one of his TV shows he pointed out something like ( over 40 new Gov’t Agencies?????? ) Created with the Unaffordable Care Act.

They want that 1/7 for one reason. Money, leading to Gov’t jobs. Leading to persons committed to their Rep.. Leading to a Life in Congress..

Ahh, gotta stop.

Add to your theory (which I believe is correct) that the core plan was to systematically destroy the private health care industry and the insurance carriers - to build a “case” for single-payer healthcare.
