Let's be real; it was a way Obama thought he could whip up the Democrat base. It backfired, and did so badly.
If history is honest, Obama will go down as a failure in every way. his biggest failure will be race relations. He had a truly historic opportunity to stand up forcefully and proudly to put an end to the racial nonsense in this nation. And, dare I say, the world. BUT. a liberal is a liberal is a liberal. Progressive uber-alles. Racial and ethnic harmony is the antithesis to liberal democrat power. Democrats MUST keep us all divided in to angry little groups to keep their power.
