I’ll bet Ryan is stronger than ever. Too bad for me and you.

Do you really think the problem with the US government is that we aren’t spending enough money—including on construction projects?

Newt is right and you are dead wrong. The Never Trumpers need to jump on the train or shut the hell up.

We spend too much. Problem is after everyone takes their cut, there is no money for the project. That will stop with Trump.

OK...but what's the best way to get them to do one of those two things? You know, they say the definition of diplomacy is the ability to tell a man to go to hell in a way that will make him look forward to the trip.

In this *particular* matter (getting them to jump aboard or shut up) a little "diplomacy" just might be in order.

Right. But Gingrich is proposing that Trump’s top initial priority with Congress be a big infrastructure spending bill.

Saw it - noticed that both Newt and Rudy kept their cards close to their vests about possible cabinet members. Love the way they are doing the job. Here’s hoping Rudy is the next Attorney General....

Personally, I think Rudy is chomping at the bit to be the Special Prosecutor investigating the emails and foundation.

He can choose a perfectly fine special prosecutor and counsel him/her. If Rudy heads the DOJ, the rest will fall in line or hang private shingles to put the beans and bacon on the table.

Yep, we always try to take the high road and never get anything in return from opposition and msm. This time let’s do it our way and to hell with civility.

Sounds like another Bush and Obama stimulus bill. But in Newt’s defense, Trump talks about rebuilding roads, bridges, etc., in every speech, so he’s not departing from Trump on this.

And The Wall is infrastructure we need to build.

However, the top priority shouldn’t be appeasing Democrats, especially now that we have majority control, or doing the same old, same old. What happened to the bold conservative change?

We also have to worry that Newt or any beltway types haven’t cut a deal with someone who’s given them a salary as a lobbyist so that he can funnel off the infrastructure cash to their company.

Corruption is rampant and the Clinton Foundation type of activity is the norm, not the exception.

Agree agree agree, they are all like the muslims. Smile to your face, want a ceasefire just so they can rearm. This is war and it’s time to defeat all of them. Trump is a Patton of politics hopefully.

Trump could get a ready Democrat pile on for an “infrastructure” (typically the pork-barrellyist of spending) spending bill at any time through his administration.

The idea that it should be part of an initial honeymoon period of legislation only makes sense if advisors or others are clamoring at the trough, or their plan to buy agreement on other bills is to buy votes through this “infrastructure spending” bill.

I don’t like the smell of it, especially as a first priority, at all.

Trump is a nationalist - how do you think he picked up so many traditional Dem union voters?

The wall is infrastructure. A large domestic spending bill focused on the states that supported Trump will also have a number of secondary effects.

One, it will set up the mid-west and south for a resurgence of manufacturing & production. Two, it will punish CA, NY & IL by blocking any funds to states that aid & abet illegal immigration eg driver licenses.

Lastly, after a treaty is signed with Russia and we wind down the overseas wars that were driven by Hillary's neo-con supporters, a lot of funding will become both available and necessary to re-direct resources to mending our own fences.

“The campaign’s over,DJT,it’s time to take all reasonable steps to get the Never Trumpers on board...or at least to neutralize them.Comments like this will achieve neither.”

The campaign is over, but the Never Trumpers all have got to be primaried in the mid-terms, and defeated. They’ve all got to go. They had their chance to get on board, and didn’t. No mercy now. Their days are numbered, whether they know it or not.

“That might just go to Kellyanne Conway.”

If she wants it. She’d clearly be REALLY good at it.
