This had to be posted for no other reason than to raise a few smiles.  It's controversial tho, a lot of statements that can run into trouble:

...federal workers are paid far more than their private sector counterparts...

How many times have we heard Rush say he wouldn't run for president because he didn't want the pay cut.

Big Government... ...cutting the federal workforce by 35%,

The idea that the federal workforce is bloated is bogus; today's fed payrolls are about half what they were when Reagan was president.  Come on guys, do we really want 35% fewer personnel in uniform?  We really want to lay off 35% of the border patrol?

Terrific! The government needs to shrink anyway.

Trump has said he will reduce gov’t employee numbers through attrition, in other words not replace those who leave for whatever reason. If some for ideology reasons decide they can not stay in a Trump administration, it will be a quick, perfect, ‘voluntary’ attrition event. Most of these departures will occur in heavy regulatory agencies such as the EPA, DOT, DOA, etc. The military and law enforcement agencies will be invigorated by a Trump win and no one will leave. Matter of fact, their numbers will increase.

“a lot of statements that can run into trouble”

Yep like this one:

“impossible to fire a federal worker, no matter what the reason, as various government audits have shown”

Impossible? No not impossible....difficult yes but not impossible.

The vast majority of uniformed members would not “quit” if Trump won, they cannot quit, nor would they.

We also never thought of ourselves as “federal” employees. The federal workers who will quit will be the jerk offs in the NIH and EPA, etc, who use their time looking at porn and buying stuff off of Amazon.

I think that’ll save on unemployment benefits when Trump fires their worthless asses.

Those workers are right. Under Trump, federal work under Trump will be MUCH MORE ACCOUNTABLE and the gravy train will end. They might as well get out early, while there are still some private sector dummies willing to hire them.

Government is too big.
Let’s fire 50% and cut the pay of whoever is left by another 50%.

Close the post office, it’s obsolete.

They’d have to tell us because we’d never miss them. What a great cost saver, though.

If department of education, EPA, and the dept of energy are defunded....is that not a reduction?

Need to do something about non congress critters writing laws through regulation and enforcement.

That isn’t to say that a President Trump couldn’t force these employees to live up to their promise by cutting the federal workforce by 35%, while demanding that the rest actually do their jobs.

Yes. That! But with that being said, I could do with a larger number.

Having that many quit might save them from being fired.

Like any company would hire these low IQ marshmallow major clowns if they would quit.

(Apologies to all the good ones out there, and there are many good ones.)

Best way to separate the chaff from the wheat. Makes Trump’s job that much easier.
