A no-bid contract means they had a supplier in mind and they were going to reward that person no matter what with this contract.

Obviously, more than one business supplies crystal, more than one business makes crystal, and there is absolutely no reason to believe such a contract had to be filled immediately so it just had to avoid the bidding process.

IOW, there was a kickback somewhere in there.

....the latest WikiLeaks underline everything we’ve heard about the Clintons' sleazy drive to enrich themselves. In a 2011 memo, Bill's ex-aide, Doug Band, openly boasted about Teneo's activities raising millions for the Clinton Foundation and for Clinton personally from his Teneo business clients.....described as “Bill Clinton Inc.” — Band bragged about helping the Clintons use their government service to feather their own nest.

Band’s Teneo clients were pressed to give millions to the foundation — and millions more to Bill. At that time, Teneo had raised $8M for the foundation and $3M in paid speeches for Bill. Plus, Teneo had also set up “more than $50M in for-profit” business deals for the ex-president, with contracts worth $66M more.....doesn’t include loads of “in-kind” freebies, vacations and private jets.

This circle of enrichment was a one-hand-washes-the-other arrangement.

After her sexting hubby’s career nose-dived, Hillary aide, Huma Abedin, needed help to make ends meet.
