This is typical Clinton character assassination. Same thing they do every election. I saw mike Huckabee interviewed today, he said he ran against the Clintons and won more than once and they did all the same things.
I’ve been telling people since the day she stole the nomination to watch for this, last month o the campaign you’ll see her throw everything she can come up with at Trump, it’s the only way she knows how to run a campaign. Especially this time when she has no record at all to run on, even most of her own party doesn’t like her, Bernie was pulling 3 times as many people to his rallies, or more, Trump rallies make hers look like tupperware parties...this is the only way she knows how to operate, try to torpedo Trump’s reputation and credibility, and this is her favorite way to do it, make him look like a carbon copy of her serial rapist husband.
Why does it not cure HIllary herself? Her memory has more holes than Swiss cheese.
If someone was sexually assaulted, would anyone expect them to watch the celebrity they’re accusing who did it to them on any any medium they were on? Seems to me they would go out of their way to avoid all chances of seeing said person.

I’m speculating here — If she wrote an actual letter and sent it through the mail, it would have taken at least a day to just reach the Times. Internal processing would have added a bit more time before it got to an editor and assigned to a reporter. What I’m unsure of is when the first article was published. (Of course, there’s also the possibility that by “writing”, she was referring to emailing them.)
The New York Times story was published Wednesday.
Debate was on Sunday night.
Possible scenario is she wrote or emailed the Times early on Monday.
Following on what you said about processing time:
BUT in a city the size of New York, how many emails or letters come flooding into the PC’s or mailroom?
And how thoroughly do they check the stories people send in?
That leaves only Tuesday to process and write it, to print on Wednesday.
If it was email, maybe.
But snail mail? No way.
