Otherwise, tragic results can happen.
Did they at least remember to shoot the dog?
Sounds like they used a percussion grenade and then battered the door down.
Those poor kids will never forget that!
Apology my hat. Where is that big fat check for your incompetence?
An apology but I wonder if they will get a cash settlement for pain and suffering from the stress it caused the family of 7
Were the cops smoking recreational weed?
Definitely not Hondo Harrelson’s SWAT.
Because knocking on the door and covering all the excits like the used to do would just be old school.
Did the cops throw a flashbang into a (perceived) meth lab?
Really?
you know, these “we broke into the wrong house” stories DO keep happening....
over and over again
so maybe we need to hire police who can at least read addresses?
secondly, and this is a big issue.... the whole idea of forcibly breaking into a private residence like its an enemy fortification in WWII........ I am really getting the feeling that there are far far too many such incidents....
that are not necessary.... why not just wait and arrest the suspect when he comes out to go to one of HilLIARy’s infamous taco trucks (or go anywhere else)? Breaking in with force can cause some very serious things to go wrong (innocent people getting killed, cops getting killed, etc)
just saying.... I am definitely beginning to question just how many of these forced police break=ins are really really necessary (or even the best tactic)
??????
Warrants are supposed to be hand delivered to the occupants of the building PRIOR to entering the premises and conducting the search unless it is deemed no one is in the said premises. There is no "drugs on the premises" or "known terrorists inside the building" clauses in the Constitution that negate the protections of the 4th Amendment.
They hit the wrong house, proving the level of violence was not needed. The family had no idea, didn’t resist, and would have simply responded to a knock at the door.
As long as the cops all went home safe after the shift was over, that is all that matters.
This certainly sounds like a very “SORRY” event.
We got some pretty detailed information from (an) informant, police spokeswoman Heidi Davidson said, according to the Associated Press. The name we were given was associated with the address. It just wasnt current.
Here’s a crazy idea. Maybe they could check the online records of ownership for a property before they dispatch their SWAT troops.
Where is the fun in that?
Besides, they got all this cool military gear given to them by Obunga, they have to go find a game to use it in.
Good point.
If flammable chemicals were out, this sounds about as smart as that neighborhood fire bombing in Philly decades ago.
I don’t even think Donald Trump would stand up for THIS degree of dunderheadedness.
In a situation similar to this, the victim and his daughter were asleep when the cops broke in. Thinking she was in danger, the victim fired a weapon, killing a deputy whose father was a honcho in town. The victim, Corey May, ended up on death row.
Check utilities instead, it might be rented out.
