Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences on this topic - difficult to find folks to talk openly an honestly about these things. As it is genuinely baffling , the typical American Jewish point of view toward politics, at times and I think I'm beginning to "get it". The Jews of Israel are more reality based because death is always close at hand and they know how to handle nasty doses of reality

Ok - thats what I thought too - here is what concerns me recently we had a young Israeli join our team, and he has bought into all this liberal crap. He is a interesting fellow and is obviously sharp and has that Israeli attitude that can take a bit of getting used to, was in their Air force. If he is indicative this is very bad.

Maybe he trying to blend into L.A but it is so hard to argue with these people, they aren't stupid, quite the opposite - just foolish.

more randomly but along these lines

I myself am not jewish and had no experience with jewish culture of any kind up until moving to L.A 8 years ago.

For example there is such a large jewish population where I live that the high holidays the schools are closed and the kids get the day off - all the kids.

For some reason the jewish people in Socal like me even though I yell at them to stop being so stupid and liberal often.

Lately though they don't like how I can predict the future (use common sense to figure out whats likely to happen)

They, me, live in such a bubble here - no where in the world do the jewish people have it so good and are doing so well as in this bubble of Orange, L.A and Ventura counties.

Where I live had more highly rated jewish dealies than New York a couple years back.

They got it made in the shade with lemonade - I don't think they want their bubble burst.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not giving up my efforts and I make a mean Hanukkah(I know they have the gentile cook ) brisket (my secret - bacon fat - just kidding) so they have to at least listen to one rant a year.

They know I love and respect them, they also know I'm a huge Trump supporter - it is a source of puzzlement for them

“Jew by themselves cannot sway an election.”

But there are a lot of them who have money which amplifies their impact on elections. #1 example: George Soros (nee Gyorgi Schwartz). Decent Jews like to disavow Soros as being a Jew, but the truth is, he’s as much of a Jew as Mitt Romney is a Mormon. They have to “own” the fact that he’s a Jew. All the religions of the world give “members with a lot of money or power (or both) a pass for their transgressions against the tenets of their religion. That’s why I have chosen not to be a member of any of their little “God Businesses!” To have a firm belief in God, you don’t need anyone else to “help” you attain your own personal “salvation.”

I understand. But this article appears to be about everyday people who are Jews, with an eye toward Florida.

Could they sway the Florida election ?

“Could they sway the Florida election ?”

Just look at the fat Jewish turd they have running for Senator against Rubio. Allan Grayson. I hope I’m wrong, but my bet is that the Florida Jews will vote en masse for him (that is if they have good airplane reservations so that they can get down to their “second homes” after voting in the election in New York earlier in the day).

Wow, that is a lot of material but I can deal with it.

First of all I am a Conservative, patriotic, Zionist Jew who believes in a all powerful America and a powerful Israel, now, more than ever. Support for Trump is now, no longer a matter of choice, it is an absolute must given the lost power and prestige of the USA and the Western world these last, devastating 8 Obamian years.

Most Israeli Jews are Conservative and very practical people who call a spade a spade because there is no time for B.S. and Politically Correct over worrying over there.

There are, of course Lefties and do-gooders there as well as the former ruling political party, the Labor party was the power monopoly who built the State of Israel 1948-1977. After 1977 the Likud (Right wing) took over and overhauled the economy to become Capitalist.
To make a long story short, these Laborite-Lefties were a majority and led Israel into the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords with Arafart’s PLO. The result was a disaster for the Jews, 1,000 murdered, at least 5,000 wounded or maimed from 1993-2002. That's like a Sept. 11th every single day!

After the massive bloodshed, Israelis swung to the Right, where they have been, more or less since. It took a lot of blood for the population to finally figure it out. The Elite and Liberal media are STILL clinging to the past with their illusions about peace with the Arabs.

Israelis who leave Israel are probably no different than any new immigrant to America - they want to fit in. Southern California's Jews are probably no different than Massachusetts’ Liberal Jews. Jews TEND to be Liberal for some G-d awful reason. They champion the underdog, they champion more than anything else, Justice which has supplanted the Mosaic Law and Torah observance.

An Israeli who served in the Army, in combat and decided to become a peacenik cannot be criticized too much. They have “earned” it.

Today, any Jew with his head screwed on right will support Trump and or Netanyahu. Unfortunately, the Liberal Southern California mentality lends itself to being a Liberal Lefty, Jew or Christian, doesn't matter.

Israelis are a more grounded in reality, they have to be. We can learn from all of their experiences, good and bad.

Will do. American Jews and indeed Israel never could have a better friend and ally than Trump.
