We have noticed the same. As well as Pinterest. I can talk about something, never commenting online, and I will receive advertisements online about the things from conversations. My daughter has noticed this without me saying a word.
Of course I’m sure you also realize being on FR puts you at the top of the list for elimination when the statist purge actually happens.
I finally decided to get off Facebook and deactivate my account today.
Increasingly I was getting into arguments with those who have a Left-Wing Liberal bent and refuse to see the Clinton’s as the corrupt people they are. Add to that all the negative information and the agenda based bias of Zukerburg and Facebook and it added up to enough.
While I may go through some withdrawals and miss some of my friends I can see that it had taken up too much of my time and the debates and hassles of trying to educate people was becoming tiresome. Especially the moronic postings of the Left-Wing crap I would see from people that I thought had better sense. So I could see the futility of continuing to debate and post things I thought might make a difference.
I may reassess after the election, but then that depends on whether Trump wins or not. If not then it may be a permanent thing. Frankly I was finding just way too much negativity on Facebook and had had all of it I wanted.
