People are opting for eastern Europe as of now. Lack of demand means lower prices, which will eventually lure travelers back. That happened in NYC after 9/11.
Will we put up with that here? Id like to think not but...
I don’t know, either. But if things get hot, certain law enforcement would look the other way if the good guys started popping the bastards. There would be a lot of target practice at 200+ yards, too.
French socialist rats must be quite happy at reduced numbers of
American tourists.
Surely though, hordes of US actors, academics, presstitutes, et.al.
must be flocking to France to make up for uncouth folks from
flyover country who aren’t going.
Yep.When Oktoberfest is cancelled and next year the coffers are getting low, what will they do? Go the full Venezuela and start churning out francs for everyone on the dole? Or will they start sending them home?
Sorry.Meant euros.
The French listened to the Germans...
They still sell those wind-up birds as of a few years ago.
More reason not to report the news.
Beirut used to be the “Paris of the Middle East”
Now Paris is the “Beirut of Europe”
That ought to drop visitors another 50%.
Interesting take. What leads you to say that? (Not disagreeing, just curious).
On the back of the doors in hotel rooms throughout Europe you can see the rate schedule for your room per season. The summer tourist season starts after Easter and carries through until early Sept.
The rates for summer travel season are anywhere from 3 to 4 times higher. Europe basically exists on tourism. The city centers, the hotels, the cafe’s, the transit systems even.
When they get their numbers back from this summer, people will be getting let go from their jobs. The margins are thin. It’s a tourist economy. Well, it was.
I saw a video showing the ‘yute’ stealing from tourists in broad daylight——nice place to stay away from——am I glad to be old and having had the chance to see the world and America years ago when things were orderly and decent——enjoy your ‘new world’ you who have destroyed the old-—cheers
