It's entertaining for awhile. I spent almost two years following the Senate close. Once I figured out the game, it was boring. Bunch of self-important backstabbing liars. The press is pretty easy to figure out. Just assume everything they print is false. If a story catches your fancy, and you want to know what is going on, start digging for yourself. Hard work, but there is no substitute.
I learned that court cases are likewise afflicted. You would be shocked to find out how often a case cite for "proposition A" does not support "proposition A," and often stands for the opposite. Law is an outcome-oriented process, with absolutely no basis in consistency or precedent. The "switch" happened in the 1920's, and has been going on ever since. House of cards, and it cannot stand forever. it will collapse, there is no doubt.
