This is key to understanding the nature of community. When the leaders assume authority over daily life they create a tyranny in which the family is debased. This is precisely the problem in the ghettos in our country. Government has destroyed the family and created a culture dependent on government largesse. This was precisely the intent of the War on Poverty under LBJ who claimed his legislation would “keep the nxxxx on the plantation for 100 years.”
Totally agree with that sentiment.
The UN Charter, as I recall, won’t permit the Secretary General to be from one of the (then) five nations: of its top board (the one where any single country can veto action) US/UK/France/Russia/China?? This is stuff I learned in elementary school back in the 50’s for what it’s worth. It was a different organization then. Maybe to get the spot BHO will admit, at long last, that he’s Kenyan? Who knows.
I recall something like that too...but these UN people will do anything they want. They’re not accountable to anyone.
If we had a viable Congress, they’d suddenly become accountable. Maybe withhold $$ and they’d learn something.
