Should have held it in Tampa again, with hot humid temps in the mid 90’s and daily thunderstorms expected, the outdoor crowds would be seeking shade elsewhere.

Chief Williams: The city of Cleveland does not have riot gear.
Maybe the city council wouldn’t approve the purchase. Even a police chief has to answer to the council.

So far the PD has been doing a good job. The protestors are in small groups, giving the police a good warm up with crowd control. The cops on bikes are hearding them around like cattle.
Will be interesting if the protestors get squirrelly.
