I’d like some clarification on this. I was stationed in Turkey in 1971 when there was a coup (granted, it was not of the caliber of the one this past Friday), and we were restricted to base. But, we were never under any real threat. It was just a cautionary move, and under the circumstances was not unusual. Moreover, our base was a CDI (Common Defense Installation), so there were Turkish troops there, as well. Incirlik is similar.

And obama will put up with that kind of shit. If it were Bush or Reagan they’d tell the airplanes to take off. Turkey knows better than to fire on a US plane, especially a C-117 full of Soliers and Airman. If one US life were lost under such a scenario under Bush or Reagan, then erodigen would be in power for as long as it took to bomb the shit out his office. BUT obama will whine and cave and give him money and kiss his ass and screw, once again, our service members.
