Uber Forces Customers to Take One Minute to Think About Gun Violence(WTH?)

(Maybe it’s only used in liberal hell-holes?)

I’m in Minneapolis. It’s basically Ground Zero here and yet nothing on my Uber app. I love it too, by the way. FAR better than any standard Taxi Company in a city.

What college was that ?! We’re talking about building our first community college in an abandoned car dealership. It’s a very, very large dealership.

The lack of local schools here is killing the community. Closest offerings we have are in Scranton which is a great town if you’re a bullet.

When I pick up a passenger (Remember, I’m NOT UBER) I will get out of the car and meet them as far from my car as possible - usually up their walkway.

I’ll extend my hand and guide them to my car. I’ll open the door for them and make sure they are seated. They think it’s gentlemanly. And it is .. But I’m also scoping out their person for concealed weapons.

While it hasn’t happened yet, It will happen at some point. My area is very gun friendly and I am too. But I’ve also been carjacked before (Not operating.. just when I was a teenager) and I’ll never let that happen again. I can’t get to a gun fast enough when I’m behind the wheel.

I’m still thinking about what to do if I see someone printing their concealed when I get them into my car. I’m not sure if I’ll ask them to lock it up in the driver’s door or not. I carry. And people know I do too. Again, it’s a cultural thing up here. No one cares if you carry.

But most people carry crap. I mean serious crap. I don’t understand it. Hipoints with uncle mikes nylon #5 holsters. I mean come on people.. Have some f***in dignity.

Thanks ! I own a few businesses, and my wife does as well. I have written a significant software package for LEO/Bail Bonds as well as towing and taxi. I spent my past two years on it, and it’s basically ready for release.

We have some marketing to do and basically a few more stops to make before it’s ready to sell. In the meantime, I sorta budgeted for immediate sale.

I have enough saved up for the bills and bare minimums but nothing left to spend. So I’m doing this for a month or two to get some extra cash.

Plus, it’s fun. I work from home and in the waiting pattern I barely work at all. I’m going nuts all cooped up in the house. It’s why I’ve been on FR like around the clock.

OH MY GOD I forgot about that !
