We may be getting closer to a more accurate correlation...
Meanwhile ultra liberal cities like San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, that are quite nice are 6 to 8% black.
Another “benefit” of offspring our jobs.
I’d put San Francisco in the hellhole category.
You have a strange definition of hell hole.
Their skid row is something to behold, as is the old hippy dippy area of haight ashbury.(spelling?). Also the large numbers of perverts that live there.
I grant you that it’s a bit eclectic but it has low crime rate, very high standard of living, beautiful sights, great restaurants, great parks, lots of different neighborhoods to accommodate every taste, low unemployment... Hardly the traits of a hell hole.
And the reason it’s so expensive is because so many people want to live there.
I understand you don’t like the politics there (neither do I), but let’s at least be intellectually honest.
Part of my definition of hellhole is how intrusive is gov’t. You better be politically correct and mouth the right slogans if you want to do business there. Their gun laws are now Stalin-esque in kali-fornia. Not to mention the illegals flooding in. They go to the big cities where the welfare is best and the weather is warm.
That’s not the type of “hell hole” they were referring to in the article. It’s a whole different dimension. It’s dangerous physical misery.
“If those communities want to reverse their fortunes its time to stop voting for Democrats.”
They vote for Democrats so they don’t have to work for a living; at this point they’re just seeing what else they can get. Any Republican who talks “budget cuts” is labeled as racist with good cause; a whole primarily-black segment of our population is completely dependent on other peoples’ money.
Don’t expect these shiftless unassimilated ferals to turn their backs on the Dems (the hand that feeds them other peoples’ food) any time soon...
