For the sake of argument, let’s say that Reagan had the wrong approach to homelessness. But he has been out of office for nearly 30 years, and Democrats have held the presidency - and control of Congress - for about half of that time. Why couldn’t THEY fix Reagan’s presumed errors?

If people living with friends is homeless then surely people living at taxpayer expense is homeless as well...

How Reagan made homelessness permanent is that he made the clueless media notice it for the first time. Of course, bums have existed since time immemorial, but it took Reagan for those dimwits to notice.

The homeless disappeared along with words like “unemployment” and “McJobs” when Otoken was elected; I expect they’ll be back soon.
