I'm not suited for politics at all when it comes right down to it, just know our country hangs in the balance.
I have a favorable opinion of Rick Perry what I know of him. Whether he would be a good fit for VP, it would sure be better than Newt.
I'd like a woman the best. If we can't have Mia (too inexperienced) or Tulsi (wrong party, too far left), I will take Nikki Haley. If there is scandal in her bg it depends on a lot of things.
Rick Perry would be fine. Kasich could help Trump win Ohio; he doesn't have much charisma but is well spoken. And we shouldn't forget Ben Carson and his loyalty in the face of some big blows.

Governor Rick Perry knows the illegal border crossings better than anyone else. Because a large part of the wall along the US-Mexican border goes through Texas, Perry would be a perfect resource when the wall got built. The Texas-Mexico border makes up 1,254 miles of the 1,900-mile-long U.S.-Mexico border.
I would have been interested in Nikki Haley for VP before she started sniping at Trump and now comparing his “rhetoric” to what causes a Dylann Roof!! For that alone I think she has proved utterly unfit and I would not support her for VP. She is like John McCain, more interested in pleasing the MSM than in understanding and defending conservative values and principles.
Not only NO, but HELL, NO ! to La Raza Rick, brown-noser of La Raza and Open Borders stooge (not to mention the fella who wanted to give little girls Gardasil).

Although Perry may be personally trustworthy, and might be a loyal VP for Trump, the Uniparty globalists know they can control him. Such a person in the VP spot is a danger to Trump’s personal safety.
Someone like Sessions, who shares Trump’s nationalist beliefs, is the best insurance against an assassination attempt on Trump. This is not the kind of thing anyone likes to have to contemplate, but unfortunately it needs to be considered. I’m sure Trump will give the matter due consideration.
Trust La Raza Rick to be a RINO flunkie. He was a personal recruit for Tokyo Rove, a Jimmy Carter-ManBearPig Democrat who switched parties because he couldn’t win without the “R” label. That this guy is being considered viable for any office exceeding dogcatcher is absurd.

I think the fact that he was on the border makes him a clear choice. Perry, knows the reality of it, problem he didn’t have the guts to speak out like Trump did.

How is Governor Perry a La Raza sympathizer? I listened to him talk as he flew over the Texas-Mexico border. He was disgusted by the illegal border crossings. The only thing that may have upset people was he signed into law HB 1403 on June 16, 2001 that allowed undocumented immigrant students who have lived in Texas at least three years and have a Texas high school diploma or GED equivalent to qualify for in-state tuition if they sign an affidavit that they intend to apply for permanent residency status as soon as they can. HB 1403 passed with a veto proof margin through both chambers of the Texas legislature.
If the Federal Government was not such a disaster at securing our border from the illegal crossers, Texas would not have had to come up with HB 1403. And on that point, Governor Perry has had harsh words and scorn for Obama. I am sure his words would resonate positively for Trump.

I agree. I lost pretty much any respect I had for him when he made that comment in 2012, about those who are against in-state tuition for illegals not having a heart.

I followed this jackass for years. He is NOT for securing the borders, period. He was the biggest champion for the Trans-Texas Corridor, which was a direct line to have 100,000,000 illegal Mexicans, Central and South Americans (and not even counting Mohammadans from the Middle East pretending to be one of the above) flooding into the country.

Agreed. Not ready for prime time. And seriously, if GOP is in danger of losing Texas then things are much worse than we know. Much better to pick a VP from a swing state like FL, OH, WI, MI, PA.
