The establishment still hates him. If they try to pull something on Trump, (and it would surprise no one if they do) Cruz’s delegates can be pledged to Trump, which shores up Trump and the Base. ,
Especially if Rubio and Kacich decided to join in the Trump bashing.
I won’t feel comfortable until Justice Roberts swears in Trump.
Kasich is a wild card, but Rubio has already pledged his support to Trump. As for the Establishment pulling a fast one, would they not be less likely to do so if Cruz were publicly supporting Trump?

Cruz was lying, a lot, when he said things like calling Trump a liberal, saying he would appoint liberal Justices, or take away guns . . . and saying he could never win the nomination (or defeat Hillary). He earned the name: Lyin’ Ted.
But Hillary an even bigger liar, clearly a pathological liar which she has been her whole life . . . and it is unfair to her not to call her Lyin’, Crooked Hillary.

Even better to use Alinsky's Rules for Radicals No 12 and 5 against Hillary...the expert on Alinsky. who wrote her masters dissertation on the subject.
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
