The rest of us have moved on.

Threads such as these prove that you haven't moved on. Try as I might to think positively of Trump, y'all keep throwing up these barriers to entry on the Trump Train.

Why the angst and anger over Cruz? He lost, Trump won.

“Threads such as these prove that you haven’t moved on.”

We have moved on with respect to supporting the one who won the primary.

Cruz has gained enemies for the duration. As long as he attempts to impose himself in public life, he will be stomped.

The subject was supporting Trump, not oily Felito.

But I wished he could do a better job of speaking to average, non-intellectual voters (such as myself) without sounding condescending. Can’t get the message across if listeners have to de-code it.

I could not agree with you more. Exceptionally well said, FRiend.

I also suggest that he take a page from Trump, and learn how to excel on Twitter, by synthesizing his ideas into 140 characters or less.

That is a good question.

I would say if Cruz supporters want folks to take a look at and support Cruz in 2020 or later, then they had better look at how Cruz behaves this fall season.

If he honestly supports Trump and does what he can to move people who might be doubting Thomas types to vote for the republican nominee, well he may well have a future.

If he refuses to endorse and does not support Trump, (he said he would), hoping Trump fails so Cruz has a chance in 2020, well, he will have shown to all that he is all about Cruz and has no driving spirit except seeking power and self promotion.

Most of us will not forget and in 4 years he will have troubles being elected dogcatcher anywhere outside of his very narrow regional base.

Not just born in Canada but was still a Canadian citizen when he ran for the Senate. Some of his supporters here still worship him even though one in particular said that no one not born of 2 American citizens on American soil could be a NBC-—apparently except Cruz.

Cruz is a good guy. Election cycles tend to bring out the worst in people. There were things said on both sides I’m sure would like to be taken back.

Cruz has a strong base of conservative suporters, however, he needs to realize that over 55% of republican voters, in his home state, did not vote for him. The percentage of voters is worse nationally. His only choice is to jump on the nationalistic bandwagon Trump is riding.

He doesn’t have to agree with everything Trump does or says, but he can still represent the conservative base by being a principled supporter of the nominee. IMHO this stance will only help him going forward.

Trump and Cruz pulling in the same direction is what most of us want.

Cruz’s principals are an alien concept to anyone who wants BIG government to take care of them or punish the opposition.

Are those principles like voting for the Coker bill, support of TPA or a wife who cowrote the NAU papers to eliminate our borders? NWO rule of America are not very conservative principles.

Not much disagreement from me, though there were 13 candidates on the TX ballot, and Ted won 258 of 264 counties. The counties Trump won were mostly rural, with less than 500 votes total.

Conversely, Trump has won less than 50% of the Republican primary votes, so his work is cut out for him to unify the party. It would help if hands were extended by the victor and the vanquished.

Trump hit 1237 which is the majority. He has also recieved more votes than any republican primary candidate ever with major primaries still remaining. Cruz needs to attach himself to this popularity. Running as a foil against Trump may excite his most ardent supporters, but will alienate him from the general voting public.

All he has to say is he doesn’t see eye to eye with Donald on some issues and doesn’t necessarily aggree with his tactics, but he has shown he can lead this party to victory in November and throw his support to the nominee.

Try as I might to think positively of Trump, y'all keep throwing up these barriers to entry on the Trump Train.

I'm starting to understand the NeverTrumpers. They seem to be utterly effeminate. "My feeling! My feelings! Won't anyone care about my feelings?" Normal people do not think in these terms and write posts like these. Even in 2012, with Romney, I wasn't sitting there demanding people appease me.

Seriously, grow a pair of balls and stop whining. Nobody likes Cruz and you aren't going to make us like him by threatening to withhold your insignificant vote. Look at the polls, fool. Trump already tied or leading Hillary even in blue states. You are nowhere near as important as you think you are.

See? This just shows how dumb you are. People not voting for Trump in the primary does not translate to people opposing Trump in the general. If that's the case, it means Ted Cuz is hated by 70 to 80 percent of Republicans. But look at the polls. Last one I saw had Trump having 89 or 90 percent of Republicans supporting him, with a hefty number of Democrats and leading independents by double digits over Hillary.

Why are you people so stupid you are not even aware of these facts?

Let's face it. Your arguments are stupid and have no basis in reality.

Umm, I’m not “dumb”. I am 100% behind Trump. I also don’t believe Cruz is a bad guy.

I gave a reasonable response and recieved a resonable reply before you personally attacked both of us. We need to be pulling in the same direction friend.

The response wasn't to you but to the first person listed in the recipients. You were included since I was responding to him, who was responding to you.

Heidi and Ted drove from Hunt Texas to Midland this Tuesday after dropping their daughter off at camp. They had a small “thank you” dinner for volunteers and contributors at a local Mexican restaurant on Big Spring Street. I was happy to attend.

First could you imagine Hillary and Bill road tripping across Texas? Can she even drive? Very normal.

Heidi and my wife have become first name acquitances. She related a story about how Senator Cruz had to break the news to his kids and how devastated they were. He said she hadn’t ever been more proud of him as a father because he left the crowds and focused just on his daughters, comforting them as they needed to be comforted.

The crowd was defiantly anti-trump, but Cruz refused to rise to the bait and refused to criticize trump. He struck to discussing the future of conservatism, his plans to help Cingressmen and others down ticket it was is expected to be a very difficult election. The closet either came was Heidi talking to some ladies saying how hard it was to explain to her kids that sometimes a con man wins -— and the country gets the leaders it deserves.

Senator Cruz nearly came to tears thanking his volunteers, focusing especially on a paralyzed woman who went door to door in her wheelchair talking to people and how touched he was by the effort of people -— you could tell the campaign had changed him and made him realize the depth of character of the strength of normal Americans.

He is taking the time his daughters are at camp to drive around and thank his supporters. He is not asking for any money, which is refreshing for politicians.

I guess the only hard news is that Cruz did not know if he was going to be allowed to speak at the convention, but he seemed to doubt it. Trump makes all the calls on the convention and apparently remains openly hostile to Cruz.

Surely, you remember this fine Texan.

Texas could always vote for another reliable Cornyn clone who never votes with conservatives and stabs us in the back at every turn.

Well you have a foreigner with sealed records who supported increasing foreign workers and more authority for Obama, so that would be an upgrade from “Ted” (not his real name) Cruz. At least the clone would be an American.

Prediction for you. Goblin nose won’t run for reelection. He will be compelled to open his records if he tries, so he won’t.

Maybe he will set up as cult leader instead.
