1 us gal = 3.79 liters, so that's €5.15 per US gallon.
€1 = $1.11 US, so €5.15 = $5.72 per gallon.
$30 will buy you 5.244 US Gallons.
Maybe. But long lines at gas stations happened forty years ago in the U.S.A. under Jimmah Carter, almost worst president ever (after Obama). It was horrible to sit in long lines of cars snaking into gas stations, and seeing fights over gas. We are even more dependent now on gas to conduct business - fewer rail lines and more trucking, less goods made here and mostly made abroad, fewer farms near people, besides personal reasons for folks who commute. Gonna be real bad if it happens again.

The areas considerably north of New Orleans were without electricity and sufficient fuel for the better part of 10 days after Katrina. Gasoline was of short supply far before diesel became an issue. Diesel was seen purchased and loaded in 55 gallon drums filling the cargo space of dually pick-ups for the initial 2 days after the storm until that supply was exhausted.
A person associated with Southern Bell telephone passed along comments about attempted amateur hijackings of fuel shipments to replenish the emergency power generators for the telephone network. The semi-operators reportedly resorted to brute force tactics in some instances, forcing the other vehicles off the pursuit. Escorts were the arranged for subsequent deliveries.
