Storyteller is appropriate. Journalist is mostly not.

Yet another dishonest piece of crap from the days when the lying bastards in Big Media had a monopoly on disseminating information. When a man has just died is not an appropriate time to insult his memory, in my opinion. Let's show a little more class here on Free Republic, please.

I didn’t mourn when Joseph Goebbels died. Why should I mourn his latter-day disciple?

Spend a lifetime promoting leftism, reap the reward.
See also the execrable Bobby Byrd, the vile Ted Kennedy, the opprobrious Sarah Brady ...
You're entitled to your opinion. You're not entitled to impose it on me.

That was a short retirement. He might have lived longer if he’d kept working. Seriously.

Q not Q, I agree that we ought to show a little more class. Some of these postings are beginning to sound more like DU.
As for not having the right to impose an opinion on you, Mr. Mountain, we do and I WILL! Don’t like it? Tuff Shiite!

You have neither the right nor the ability to impose your opinion on me. Morley Safer was a Big Media scumbag. Deal with it.

I faced mandatory retirement at age 62, my wife later that year at 60. Department of the Army rules.
We were accustomed to getting up at 5:00 a.m. to get to work by 0700 & 0730 respectively. We were also Reservists.
Don’t miss it the least little bit now & if I don’t do a darn thing all day except log on to FR, c’est la vie belle.
If she wants to travel, we travel. Otherwise, retirement isn’t going to kill us anytime soon. We’ve served our time.

It is permissible to hope that an evildoer may be stopped—by death, if necessary. But it is a mortal sin to hope that anyone should go to Hell.
