There are some folks who came out of recent wars who may be impressive, especially if the SHTF.

The Dem party doesn’t really belong to either Obama or Clinton. It’s a vehicle for the accumulation & effectuation of power, and this is bigger than either one of them.
And if anything, Obama belongs to the Party more than the Party belongs to him. They were the ones who cultivated and sold him as a media commodity, he didn’t organically rise to power from his own innate talents. Clinton is somewhat more independent from it given all the money, connections, and extortionary leverage she’s dirtily accumulated over the decades.

I think you’re right. Both sides are unsure of their relative positions, hence the stalemate.

Again I concur. One of my thoughts lately have embraced the notion of beginning a campaign goaled towards term limits. I know it’s been tossed around at “brain bashing events” but nothing has ever come of it. I believe it would eliminate a lot of what we are seeing today. Thanks for the mail and good conversation.

Wel, duh.
While political parties are owned by those who fund them, occasionally ownership passes to those who "steal" the voters. Like Trump.
Boosch supposedly owned the party with $150M. HA!
Both barkie and clintoon are slaves to the party, the party line, and the party donors. The question is which one will eat the other.

I gotta hit the sack. I own a gun repair shop and I told a customer I’d stay up late for him to pick it up. He just left. Normally I’m asleep by now LOL. Have a good day tomorrow.

Obama does not control the Democratic Party.
Obama is controlled—by people whose names we do not know in rooms we cannot locate.
Wake up!

Obama doesn’t have the stomach for protracted power struggles and he knows it. Besides, he got his 8 years in and was able to do many things to help castrate America. I think he’s satisfied and doesn’t care that much at this point.
He’s institutionalized more ways than ever to abuse the population. And Hillary enjoys the abuse of power above all else, therefore she’d be a good enough continuation of his ‘legacy’.

Seriously? 8 years on and he hasn't let up one millisecond.

What on God's green earth would make you think that?

Exactly. Pray that Hillary’s health holds up & she is the dem nominee. She’s quite beatable.

Except he hasn't had to power struggle much to carry out his agenda. He rules via EOs and bureaucratic diktat in the face of an impotent Congress largely unwilling to fight him.
An internal power struggle vs. Hillary would be a wholly different sort of matter and I don't believe he will bother. Plus he'd be outmatched by the Clintons anywaythey're simply far more proficient at waging internal power struggles than he is.
You really don't understand narcissism.
Perhaps I'm underestimating it. Tell me a likely endgame here then and what Obama could/would possibly do. Because I just don't see him as being in the position right now to upend Hillary from being the nominee.

Looney Toons
Obama — Bugs Bunny
Bill Clinton — Elmer J Fudd.
Hillary Clinton — Road Runner
Bernie Sanders — Yosemite Sam
Donald Trump — Foghorn Leghorn
Your tastes may vary.

He's been fighting the whole way. From Fast and Furious through IRS scandal, bengazi and others, one after another.

Great, but he can't stop Hillary from getting nominated. So now what does he do? Even if he instructs the DoJ to prosecute her for the email violations and forces her to bow out, there's nobody he can replace her with.

Like I said upthread:
It's possible the contest between barkie and clintoon is a mexican standoff of the highest order.
We know they loathe each other. (After all, what's not to loathe?) Given that, it comes down to
1) what do they have on each other
2) how much do they fear that
3) what do each of them have to lose
for further discussion...
