I suspect that this commitment will not get easier to keep but more difficult. So far we have had to ignore support for increasing subsidies for biofuels, support for increasing the minimum wage, confused position on taxes, and confused position on the debt. We have had to soldier on in support of this candidate with precious few specifics about how he will actually "make America great again." And we are now confronted with hires reflecting the very worst of the Washington Insiders and the Goldman Sachs crony capitalism axis the oppositon to which had been a cornerstone of the candidacy.
I consider that media created none sense but who drew first blood is not relevant.
Oh are you Hillary's spokesman now? I don't spite you, I pity you.
5 is a migic number. I’ll vote for The Donald if he publicly names 5 women whom Cruz slept with outside of his marriage.
Well, at least Ted Cruz stayed above the fray and didn't act 10x worse than Trump ever could on his worst day.
Having Hillary in the White House won't assuage Cruz supporters bitterness.
You get over it and you support the actual nominee. That's how it works.
Vote Trump!
Excellent post. Excellent tagline. I don’t agree with everything you said. For example, I do believe Trump is sincere (though not as conservative on some issues). But I do think what you said was well said. You are right about mostly agree on important issues.
I would like to add one more thought: not only is Trump more electable (Cruz would have been Goldwater’16), but more able to get his way with congress.
It was relevant to me though.
That’s nice. Has nothing to with the point.
I ran across a semi-conversation a few hours ago in Twitter where a wash post reporter and a Politico were speculating on different ways Cruz/GOPe could steal the nomination from Trump at the convention. It mainly involved disqualifying delegates and changing the rules on the fly.
Yes, they have that in the works, so i’ve been told.
You really don’t want anyone else to support Trump, do you?
“Ted Cruz supporters, and I am one” I really don’t find any evidence that he was ever much of a Cruz supporter, he seemed to be more anti-establishment and was for any outsider.
If Cruz entertains the idea of a continuing career in politics, he better get on board that Trump train, and soon.
I intend to vote for Trump but want to see his VP pick. As for Cruz’s future, if Trump powwows with Reid, Schumer, and Pelosi to “compromise” on tax increases and continuation of Obamacare, I will enjoy watching Ted shut them all down. Cruz is not malleable and will not DEAL with the devil.
This is a simple math issue: Because (not Trump) = (Hillary)
You spite all America with your refusal to not vote against Hillary but Cruz isn’t either! I pity this nation with voters who are so upset Cruz isn’t anointed king they will try to let Hillary win.
Trump is an unknown quantity. I prefer an unknown who has the ability and the drive to do what has to be done to a known who will impose a Stalinist system on the nation that cannot be shed by something so simple as another election. Future elections would be tightly controlled and the opposition would be neutralized or dead. Full blown communism is not an acceptable alternative to the unknown.
Worth repeating since it is my position as well.
And note MY tagline.
Hillary Clinton is all the reason needed to support Trump.
Thank you for demonstrating why the party will never come together.
