But, he's only demonstrating the phenomenal bullying scale of his ignorance, of the law and of the nihilist agenda behind an action that originated in the Charlotte city council. Over the governor's cautionary arguments, NC House Bill 2 was a reaction of the legislature in a state without home rule. The state government, particularly the General Assembly in Raleigh is first among equals, over the counties and the cities. Charlotte is always free to petition for statehood, of course, but the reaction was a calling of the Marxist PC bluff.
The Governor is relatively weak in North Carolina.
The only flaw in this ancient scheme, unfortunately, is the remnant of Reconstruction in the NC Constitution making the State subservient to the Federal Power.

I respect Hank for a number of reasons but when it comes to politics, we are polar opposites. When liberals start realizing that freedom does not consist of denying freedoms to people, there will be a moment of realization and the angels will sing and play harps to the tune of everyone’s personal favorite song in their ears simultaneously :)
Another thing that always killed me about Henry Rollins ... he’d put on this punk, anti-everything persona yet all of his blather was nothing more than Liberalism 101.
Jello Biafra is a lefty libertarian, but I never got the sense that he was a paid shill or was told what his beliefs are. Only reason I bring him up is that both of them were part of the left coast punk scene and both seem to do well with spoken word albums and tours.
I often felt like Biafra could argue and debate with an audience while all Rollins would do is yell and tell the leftists in the audience what they want to hear. Couple that with his various attempts at acting and you more than likely have another cloned lefty shill.

Rollins is white. Singer for punk band Black Flag back in the day. Punk activists seem to always need a cause “on the edge” to remain relevant.
I saw Black Flag when they opened for X a few years back, and I thought Henry was either gonna have an aneurism on stage or drop a loaf right then and there, with all his grunting and squatting.
I was informed that behavior is all part of his act.
