The city, known for a political tradition of empathy for the downtrodden, is now divided over whether to respond with more muscular law enforcement or stick to its forgiving attitudes. Empathy for criminals usually stop when one is personally affected by their crimes. The old "liberal mugged by reality" expression applies.

California already released thousands of their prisoners. Last year, I believe.

Yo Judith; Buck the SF propaganda and buy a gun to protect you at home. Trust me when I say the criminals will have their way long before the cops arrive. It falls on your shoulders to protect yourself.

Mr. Campos and many others evoke the charitable spirit of the citys namesake, St. Francis. Methinks that Mr. Campos might evoke a different spirit if he were to experience the city's crime a bit more directly. A thorough mugging just might set his thinking straight.

That's Obama's plan. More chaos in the streets and suburban places in America. The Devil loves chaos. It's no surprise his minions work towards the same goal.

There is nothing in general wrong with the DPRK and SF in general that an ennma wouldn't cure!

Sanctuary City is now a sanctuary from any criminal prosecution. And liberals like it that way. Just like they like the “homeless” meth head taking a dump right on the sidewalk.

You can’t fix stupid or libtard...
Forgive the criminals....you get more crime....
Is it really that hard?

If it is true that a conservative is frequently just a liberal who has been mugged, we can expect to one day soon have a few more conservatives in San Francisco.

The city I loved to visit in my youth has become the ultimate cesspool.

If only it was incorrect.
We’re going to see more rioters in action, burning stuff, I imagine. Egged on by the community organizer. He’s still got around 270 days (don’t know exact number).
