Per your link:
Texas Hispanic population in 2010: 9,460,921
New York (whole state) Hispanic population in 2010: 3,416,922
Illinois (whole state) Hispanic population in 2010:
2,027,578
Total Hispanic population for New York and Illinois states: 5,444,500
Percentage of total Hispanic population of Texas, New York, and Illinois in New York or Illinois: 57%
No there are not nearly as many Hispanics in Illinois and New York as Texas.
A better question might be, How many did Ted get? This is just another puddle to jump in! Splash and jump to the next puddle. It’s all about disruption from here on.
Let’s also not forget that 56% of the vote in New York was women.
So much for Trump’s women and Hispanic problem!
New York, both politically and socially, isn’t like much of the rest of the country. Same is true for much of New England.
The fact remains that Gallup’s nationwide survey found that Mr. Trump has a 70% unfavorable rating among female voters. Dance and spin if you choose, but it’s a problem in the general election.
I wouldn’t dismiss a win with Republican Hispanics. 20% or more of Hispanics consistently vote Republican. That has been as high as 44% in some elections. So there are a lot of Republican Hispanics and even more Republican leaning Hispanics. We need every vote we can get.
Florida had Trump winning in all demographics too.
According to Gingrich that reflected the rest of the country.
