Ill be voting Trump because I want a non-establishment first round victory at the convention, and Cruz cannot earn that victory, but Cruz would be an excellent President, Vice President, or Supreme Court Justice. Im trying with incomplete success to discourage the personal attacks against Trump, Cruz, and their supporters because I want a conservative victory in November. Alienating even a few percent of voters will lead to a Hillary presidency. Even if I enjoyed personal attacks (I dont), I would deny myself the pleasure to avoid a national disaster of that magnitude.
Thank you for a thoughtful post. Although I believe the ultimate nominee needs 1,237 votes, a majority on a subsequent ballot, not just a plurality and therefore continue to support Cruz, I am willing to support either man as nominee, and have avoided going after Trump personally. I also believe that ALL of us need to swat back bogus attacks (Lewandoski on the Trump side, the phony secret harem story on the Cruz side).

Wow, you can copy and paste from issues websites. Dazzling. I read them too. And voting records. And speeches. And Supreme Court testimony. All of those demonstrate that Cruz is what FR regulars claim to want. Instead, we're going to get Hillary if the Trump posters who enjoy personal attacks succeed in offending those who support Cruz and vice versa.

As soon as Lyin Ted Cruz stops lying about Trump all the damn time well stop calling him that. When President Hillary is inaugurated, I will give you your share of the credit.
Some Trump supporters claim they will stay home rather than vote for Cruz because of the attacks on Trump. A few of them are telling the truth, even though that makes Hillary more likely to win. Similarly, some Cruz supporters claim "#NeverTrump", and for some it's true, which also earns applause from Hillary. If you actually want Trump to win, which is what I want, is it that hard to stay civil?

And the “Cruz or Lose”ers don’t seem to be able to grasp that he has sold his soul and alienated a large section of his original base as he works steadily to insure Hillary gets the WH.
