I had some hopes for her, but when she was tellingly silent on the incident where a NM wedding photographer was being attacked by the gay mafia crowd, I quickly discounted her.

Not that this was unusual. I’ve long since grown accustomed to GOP leaders being worthless, yellow-bellied cowards, who happily sit by and let religious, moral folks be persecuted and have their lives and businesses destroyed.

You misunderstand, I love Martinez. I don’t think there’s a .001% chance Trump would ask her to be VP. But if he does, she should say, ‘No.’

I don’t agree. The media onslaught was unprecedented. They will go after Martinez too. Stop being such a media flunky.

We will see . I have no great prophetic vision here. I am just an American that wants to beat hillary like a red headed step child.

I hear that. Totally worthless. And republicrats are not all we have— We have “stay home” option like i did for worthless McCain and Romney — but I still have hope with millions and millions of others for this country. It is a faint flicker but I see it.

I don’t agree. The media onslaught was unprecedented. They will go after Martinez too. Stop being such a media flunky. How am I being a "media flunky"? Look, the media goes hard after every Republican they don't like. Some of them are good enough to fend off the attacks, and some aren't. Palin wasn't, and her image has actually gotten worse over time because she just isn't very good. A nice lady who heart is in the right place, but a crappy, disjointed speaker who too often sounds like the rambling woman at a school board meeting who doesn't know when to sit down and stifle.

So it's not that I'm a media flunky -- I just think she's goofy. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3418784/posts?page=10#10

I no longer have even that faint flicker of hope for the country. Not in the least. After faggot-marriage, my interest in the preservation of the republic completely dissipated.

Having followed her, I have not been terribly impressed. Although she has not been terrible in office, she has not been a stand-out, either. Her endorsement of Roofio was another indication of her tone-deafness. She’s also had some needless scandals on her watch, though nothing serious, they’re the kind of minor, stupid stuff the media would latch on to. Basically, she really brings little to the ticket and she’s not Presidential material.

Trump really has only one person he must pick to unite us, and that’s Senator Cruz.

No, they go after 'minorities and women' harder, because they are threatened by one of them being conservatives.

Yes, she is goofy now. But you don't realize how what was done to her effected her. The media now knows they can tear down anybody.

Uniting us isn't enough, because neither of these guys is particularly well liked, and both are going to have to change some opinions about them if they're going to have a chance in November. Combining them is basically doubling down on all their flaws just to unite a portion of the GOP. They both need a pick who can get other parts of the electorate to at least take a second look at them.

Trump/Cruz would be a disaster in terms of winning the general election.

As the first ticket in 12 years that was attempting to actually try to win an election, I would not hesitate to bet on them. But, of course, you and I have already been over this.

Correction: “...my interest in the restoration of the Republic completely dissipated.

I can’t name off 5 items where I believe she’d even be considered ‘on life support’, let alone in a ‘preservation’ state. Sad the tail-spin over the last ~100yrs (some would say ~150). Over-taken w/out a shot fired.

No. First, Cruz will never agree to be T****'s VP and second, T**** will never ask Cruz.

Cruz will sully himself as T****'s VP and will be forever tainted being that closely associated with T****.

For Cruz's future viability, he will decline any offer.

T**** will need another Washington politician to reassure hesitant voters that he will have someone who knows something about how Washington works.

After all, if T**** can't bother himself to know who they select delegates in Colorado, I doubt he knows how a bill gets passed in Congress.

Precisely why it’s time to bury the animosity and the back and forth and UNITE. We need both men to take on the monster Communist ticket headed by the Butcheress of Benghazi.

The Hispanics and those with foreign roots that have been elected or appointed as judges have repeatedly shown themselves to be biased or ignorant of our heritage.

Read some of Wise Latina’s rulings or Nikki Haley’s banning of the Confederate Battle flag or destruction of Confederate monuments.

I want elected officials with a strong appreciation of why this country was founded and whose values are deeply rooted in our country. It has nothing to do with their skin color or the country they are from. They could be recent arrivals from England and unacceptable.

That's interesting. Are those who insist on a Hispanic VP or President also racist, or does the racist label only work one way?

96% of black voters voted for odinga in 2008; 93% in 2012. That's real racism on the part of at least 93% of the blacks, especially considering the first four years of his destructive tenure.

The La Raza movement is not only blatantly racist; they are downright genocidal. Yet, their rallying cry is racism (always targeting those American citizens of European extraction).

That racism label has lost its power. More and more white people are recognizing that they are targeted for extinction. Sad state of affairs, but failure to assimilate on the part of immigrants will be our downfall; not racism on the part of white Americans.
