By doing exactly as you're doing in your remarkable post about him....holding on to and sharing all those great enduring memories and those he has given others...As well.... those you will never know, that passed on down from those he helped, they too will hold precious memories....
You're post breathed life into a young men many of us didn't know, you have made him knowable....thank you...I am sorry I never met this young man, as many here I'm sure would have liked as well. Yet it certainly appears he did met exactly all those intended ...as you said.... ...
..."He lived more, and gave more, in 22 years than most people do in a lifetime"......
For You....
So sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you are going through. We are a homeschooling family too. Me and especially my wife, know the closeness that that brings. God bless you all through this challenging time.
This has hit me more than anything. I hope you can make it.
So sorry Marie - my heart goes out to you.
Still praying for your family Marie.
And we still need them. (bad night)
You are all still in my prayers.
Thank you for sharing about your wonderful son and all the people that have been affected by him.
He was an angel in disguise, to be so young, and to care for so many people. Usually young people are self-absorbed at 22, not looking to help others on a daily basis.
Someday, when you are sitting at the Master’s feet, He will explain His reasons for allowing what happened to your son.
There is still much good that will come from this tragedy. My children are grown, but I would be devastated should something happen to them.
I hope that the stories about your son will lighten the burden you carry today, and that you can gain strength from that.
I am praying to that end, as I know many here are doing the same.
God bless you, Marie, this day and every day.
Marie, still praying. I believe the wake will be more healing and beautiful than sad.
Such sad news. In my prayers.
You do have us your FReeper family!!
No words. Just prayers.
Marie. Praying for you and your family. God knows your pain. Talk to him when you’re ready. Bless you and your son.
I SO wish I had known your son, Marie. What a beautiful eulogy and testament you gave us about his life, his great heart, and his love for his fellow man. It makes me want to work harder myself to be a better person, so thank you for sharing stories of your son. I hope you continue writing, at least in a journal. Something tells me that by doing so, it may one day benefit others as they read about and get to know (through your eyes) such a fine young man who had such a big heart. My prayers will be with you, Marie. And please know we’re here for you. <3
May God bring strength and peace to you and your family.
God bless your dear son.
Reading your story just sucked the air out of me. I’ve never read anything like this here on Free Republic. I am sure people are hunting for his FB page. I know someone will start a fund to carry on his work. I get mad when my kids get a new tatoo but never more. Prayers for you and all the other on here pouring their souls out with their stories of people losing loved ones too soon. Hearing what your son did for people makes me want to be a better person and to help others. God Bless.
Thank you very much. The stories I could tell, but I won’t.
If I hadn’t been through them myself, I don’t know, in fact I’m sure I wouldn’t believe anybody who told them.
But, yes, FR has mostly been a good refuge. With the few surprises here and there - eek.
Again, thank you very much for your kindness and I pray for Marie’s strength, too, during this most difficult time.
God bless.
May the Spirit of Jesus comfort your troubled soul. There is balm in Gilead, but the pain will still be eternal.
Prayers up for all of you.
So sorry to hear this.
May God give you comfort
