Its about money. If they are harsh to homosexuals they may take a hit in donations from the bleeding heart liberals that fill the pews in the Catholic churches.

They send invoices for their parishioner tithe's for God's sake.

I don’t see any confusion:

“”The pope also made some nods towards regular marriage in the paper, saying, “in order to avoid all misunderstanding, I would point out that in no way must the Church desist from proposing the full idea of marriage.”

A “great variety of family situations...can offer a certain stability, but de facto or same-sex unions, for example, may not simply be equated with marriage,” he added.

He likewise rejected birth control, opposing “safe sex” which by its wording suggests that “an eventual child were an enemy to be protected against.”

At the same time, he writes, “there is no stereotype of the ideal family, but rather a challenging mosaic made up of many different realities, with all their joys, hopes and problems.””

pope releases paper instructing Catholics on how to live, tells them to accept homosexuals

In a rational free society people who wish to live in a "virtuous society," surrounded by others who share their ideas of virtue, would be free to set up their own communities and to contract with each other so as to prevent the "sinful" from buying or renting within them. Those who wish to live communally could set up their own communes. But nobody would have a right to force his way of life upon his neighbor.

"Every person, regardless of sexual orientation, ought to be respected in his or her dignity and treated with consideration."

This has been for many years current doctrine. That is, homosexuals are called to chastity. These people are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

Homosexual acts are acts of grave depravity, and are contrary to natural law.

Unjust discrimination must be avoided, that is, every person, regardless of sexual orientation, already are being respected in his or her dignity and treated with consideration.

Simply being homosexual of having homosexual tendencies and being accepted as such is a no brainer. But accepting homosexual acts is another issue. So, what is new here? Why repeat what already is in practice?

Does anyone besides me think the Catholic church has been compromised, and that governments are using leverage to get the church to promote their fraudulent schemes like global warming?

Pope Francis, who has long revealed his liberal positions through interviews, came out on Friday in an official statement ...

saying .. Yep ... I'm gay. It's only a matter of time before THIS will occur.

“Pope Francis calls to accept gays”

He must like that the priests running the Archdiocese of NY meet his criteria!

Does he agree that scripturally, homosexuality is a sin?

Churches should welcome all persons, be they liars, thiefs, adulterers, murderers, homosexuals, etc. But church is also a place where repentance is advocated and expected. Sinners choice, not the church.

Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery. After he saved her life told her to “go and sin no more.”

>>Confusion

All part of the Jesuit Oligarchical/Collectivist SOP.

Keep the sheeple bamboozled with enough bullshyte and empower them juuuuust enough so they can keep the farm running... but never run it themselves.

Homosexual worker bees are productive and obedient worker bees in the Corporate/Collective hive.

Observe the historical model in action:

Well why not... Conservatives are being asked to accept a Progressive NY Liberal just because he SAYS he Conservative as a nominee for President...

I guess the Pope has “evolved” as well over the last 9 months... Maybe he can flip-flop on abortion 4 or 5 times soon...

The Beast and the False Prophet will reign during the Tribulation, especially the Great Tribulation.

The Antichrist will burn the whore with fire, but exactly when, remains to be seen.

I don’t understand! Is the Pope saying that we should accept them doing something wrong? If not, what is he saying?

I accept everyone at face value. Somebody who comes to me doing something abhorrent is not going to be acceptable no matter what. I have always accepted people as people as I am sure many others do. Somebody wanting me to accept their perversion is barking up the wrong tree. This is what I see the Pope as saying we should do. That is sinful in itself.

Seeing someone doing something wrong and telling them they are okay is wrong. It is spoken about in the bible in more than one place. You are doing something wrong when you do accept what they are doing. I will not do it!
