My congressman is one of, if not the only, member of the NY Congressional delegation to endorse Trump.

[You elected communist deblasio because no republicans would run?

yeah right]

First, I’m not in NY so I didn’t vote either way.

What I meant was that the Republicans that DID run were so milquetoast an uninspiring that (I assume) many NY-ers probably stayed home.

That I did. Back then all of LI was a Republican stronghold and the population of the outer boroughs (Queens/Brooklyn/SI) were completely different then they are today. In fact Reagan once called Nassau county "the place where Republicans go to die." It was a bastion for the GOP.

Today, LI is a purple mess thanks in part to the RINOs of the 90s bankrupting Nassau and being replaced by Liberals who are continually voted into office by immigrants and teachers. So the “Republicans” that are here don't even vote Republican......see Carolyn McCarthy who continually won at 60+%.

NYC is Hillary country. There is no way Trump wins that. You can take all the RINOs in the state and they overwhelmed by the five boroughs.

So, NY is Liberal first, RINO second, Moderate Liberal third......and if you are lucky Conservative fourth.

The people and voters of New York City & New York State have no use for Mr. Cruz and his sadistic, hateful nasty remarks about New York State, New York City & New Yorkers. Ted Cruz....the New Yorker hater.....

You think Cruz is bad? You should see what some Freepers are saying about New York:

New York is very fag supporting…

[Guess what; everyone else in the country understood what he meant.]

Guess what....

Everyone else in the country knew what Trump meant re: abortion with Chris Matthews, yet Cruzers and the media raked him over the coals for it anyway.

Actually Cruz supporters didn’t rake him over the coals for his statement that women should be punished for having an abortion if its made illegal.

We were astounded that he was stupid enough to answer the question.

Not that this is comparable.

You're the clown who just said a sitting Senator is not welcomed here because you happen to disagree with his views and then you rail against Cruz and others for pointing out NY is a moral cesspool.......

And don't think about coming back at me like I'm some hayseed.......I'm born and raised in this swamp. People like you make a bad situation worse.

The folks in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island, etc. take the hateful, cutting words of Ted Cruz and apply his mouthings to themselves.

Yeah, nothing pisses off the people of Philly more than somebody insulting New Yorkers! LOL!

Why should he care? He won’t win the primary there and he won’t win NY in the general. If it’s winner take all, he probably already moved his ground game to the next battleground.

Mr. Cruz and his sadistic, hateful nasty remarks about New York State

Oh for goodness' sake. Sadistic and hateful? Especially . ... sadistic?? Every time I think it's safe to come back here, to find some strongly held, forcefully stated opinions MINUS the insanity, I'm proven wrong.

Maybe its because they know the Demonrats have the union and dead votes wrapped up in the City??

A New York ‘conservative’ is a raging liberal in most other parts of the country.

“I wish he and Kasich would drop out. They HAVE to know they will never be nominated,..”

The RNC already said under no circumstances will Trump get the nomination. Maybe he should drop out, let Cruz get the 1237 and Cruz can select Mike Lee as his VP.

How would he get them though if he already lost so many states? If Trump dropped out these delegates would then support Cruz?

As a NYC born and bred guy, Ted Cruz impresses me as the kind of guy that pees on his shoes in public restrooms.

I am a Trump supporter but would vote for Cruz without hesitation (but with no expectation of him winning in November). That being said, it’s interesting to me how so many of my Cruz supporting friends characterize Trump supporters as irrational and angry, while in fact it’s the Cruz voters in my life that are far more angry and irrational.

It’s becoming clearer to me that the GOP voter ranks is too full of people without clarity. A shame. That’s so...democratic.

Cruz will compete in 16 congressional districts and could win up to 48 delegates. Not a snowball's chance in hell that happens if Cruz is third in the state and 30 points behind Trump.

An honest assessment with Trump above 50 in the state is that 10-16 delegates are siphoned off from Trump here in CDs where Trump gets <50%. And I am not even certain if it will be that high.

My guess is that Trump will get somewhere between 80-90 of the 95 available delegates.

I am a NYer...upstate NYer to be precise....which I am very precise about when traveling, because NY City values have earned tourists a reputation that is not pleasant. I know what Ted meant, everyone did. I am a Cruz fan to the bitter end. Bring it. NY has a closed primary. We shall see.
