Not true. I have had great conversations with some Trump followers. They have been respectful, passionate about Trump, and good reasons for supporting Trump.

I admit what bothers me is ignorance. For instance when some Trump supporters said Jeff Roe, Cruz campaign manager ordered the picture of Mrs Cruz. It was so dumb. And of course disproven. Then every time Cruz outworks Trump for delegate, it is stealing. Playing by the rules is not stealing. Then of course anyone who opposes Trump is GOPe. Then of course all the personal attacks Trump supporters launch on everyone that opposes Trump. I was told to Get Cancer, Physically threatened, told I was dumb, because I didn't support Trump.

I don't think supporting any particular candidate makes you smart or dumb. I do think believing every conspiracy theory makes your point of view come into question.

Only the GOPe fixers got to vote in ND. No primary, no caucus this time around. Remember Curley Hogbottom telling all that the voters did not elect any candidates, the delegates do that?

They do try to shade the rule in the direction they want. However, they are limited in how far they can go without looking like a farce, and they are trying their best to start an internal war within the anti-establishment faction to keep Trump and Cruz supporters from uniting. It all comes down to whether Trump and Cruz choose to make a deal before the convention starts. If they deal in good faith with each other, they can ensure that one of them wins.

That does require that the Trump supporters not hate Cruz and that the Cruz supporters not hate Trump before the convention. I’m not as optimistic on that as I’d like to be. The “Lying Cruz” nonsense is both false and harmful. The same is true for the “Trump is a liberal who supported abortion until 15 minutes ago” nonsense.

Cruz and Trump agree far more than 80% of the time (see my tagline from Ronald Reagan). They should be friends and allies, and we should treat both of them as such.

Cruz will get hammered in the North East.

Only way Cruz wins is when the GOPe steals the nomination. At that point, Trump supporters stay home and the only people that vote for Cruz in the general election are the religious nuts. Hillary landslide 2016.
