Very good point. But, you are using logic, and for some Cruz-bots, that is hate speech.

We don’t need any more lawyers turned politicians. No one inside the beltway can be a true outsider. No one who worked for the Bush2 campaign, then for his administration can be an outsider. No one married to a Golden Sacks girl who worked on the North American Union, can be a true outsider. No one who has Neil Bush and the entire Jeb finance team in their campaign can be a true outsider. No one endorsed by Jeb, Romney, Walker, etc., can be a true outsider.
No more Bushes and no more Stealth Bushes.

When Trump announces his 3rd party run will you still support him?

Oh....the same “pledge” Trump just broke?
By the way, when Ted wins on the second ballot in Cleveland, he will uphold the pledge.

Every politician promises to do exactly what they say they’ll do, until they don’t.
To: Din Maker
I doubt you ever thought Ted Cruz was the ‘Messiah’...ever, nor should you think that of ANY candidate. But I suspect you do think Trump is the messiah considering this thread....
To: verga
He already said that to win you can’t run as a 3rd party.

By the way, when Ted wins on the second ballot in Cleveland, he will uphold the pledge. You're dreaming! 'They' won't let Cruz stick around for that second vote. He'll have done his job for the GOPe in preventing Trump from getting the 1237. After that, they'll get rid of him quick. I'll bet that sex scandal will be ramped up right before convention.

Cruz is already letting it be known that he would be unable to do as he promised. He has signed on to GOPe and he is totally owned.

What makes you think Ted's winning the second ballot in Cleveland?
Oh, that's right, all those GOPe politicians who don't do what they say TOLD you they would vote for Ted.....
To: Din Maker
For me it is Cruz's highly questionable natural born citizenship.
He knows he is not eligible and is running anyway and he refuses to release the documents would have been needed to confirm his citizenship as a U.S. citizen.
The man is sleaze.

Yes it will....and....suddenly the GOPe will be oh so **very** concerned about his natural born citizenship.

I’m a Trump supporter, but this post is - for lack of a better word - “stupid”. Yikes.

WHAT ABOUT THE PLEDGE?
Trump himself put an asterisk on his pledge stating that all bets were off if he wasn't treated fairly.
I think a certain minimum amount of civility and not bringing in the family is grounds for dissolution of the agreement. If Trump actually believes that Cruz himself, and not the free-agent/loose cannon Liz Mair was behind the Melania ad, he is free to do likewise with Cruz, should Cruz get the nomination.
