This not an appropriate occasion for intramural squabbles with our Reformed brothers and sisters. It is a time for all of Christianity to come together in solidarity against the menace of radical Islam. If they had crucified a Reformed pastor, we ought to be every bit as outraged. An attack upon one of us is an attack upon all of us.

Fair points, all. I’m an optimist, being American. Our nation has an enormous capacity to right itself, and has done so under many difficult times in the past. It will need every ounce of these abilities to get out from under this mess, but the twilight struggle against domestic leftism MUST be won. We have our work cut out for us.
