Cruz should get a tent, and he and Beck could have revivals and medicine shows. I think that is what they are suited for, not political office, and certainly not president.

He’s the 2016 Al Gore.
Nobody cares about the inside DC PC-ish Palestine.
Nobody.

This is exactly what is wrong with our culture. You knew what he meant.

And Bruce Jenner is still a man.

Way to go Ted
Promise not to be neutral and get the hopes up for your role in meaningful negotiations between warring parties
Trump, already said if both sides didn’t think he was fair he wouldn’t be able to help them negotiate a deal
So, Common sense or pure conservative ideology? - choose whichever is most likely to actually make something happen

Accuracy is important in foreign relations, as is nuance. Speeches don’t cut it unless they are definitive and accurate. That is upsetting, but true. The issue of “Palestine” as even being considered a “state” is a rather important one especially to AIPAC. No small matter even if we think the point is “condescendingly” delivered. It is, after all what the entire area tries to lay claim to— a palestinian state.

Cruz has become arrogant and condescending?

Are you pulling everyones leg? If you would deign to look up those two words, your hero ‘s picture is used for the definition. He has been churlish, bullying, egotistical, mean spirited, hate filled , spiteful and speaks on a third grade level ( not by choice).

I dislike this man intensely as this conservative poser and opportunist will squander the greatest hope we had for some real long standing conservative changes that I never dreamed could be obtainable in my lifetime.

It isn’t going to get Cruz any more votes,

He shouldn’t have tried to embarrass Trump at this meeting,

Just wait until Hillary gets a hold of that tape and keeps playing it, if Trump is the R nominee.

Trump was not wrong...Palestine has existed since 1948...Even longer...

Of course, there has NEVER been a nation known as Palestine...Only a region, but it was in existence in 1948.

The history of a distinct Palestinian national identity is a disputed issue amongst scholars.[36][37] Legal historian Assaf Likhovski states that the prevailing view is that Palestinian identity originated in the early decades of the 20th century.[36] “Palestinian” was used to refer to the nationalist concept of a Palestinian people by the Arabs of Palestine in a limited way until World War I.

I really question if Cruz is capable of giving a speech or an interview without attacking Trump. He’s seemed positively obsessed with him for several weeks now.

We are still fighting over Trump vs. Cruz? Now its the Palestine question? I don’t care about some brain fart during a speech. #1 concern is the removal of the GOPe and Democrat Cabal, do you want an insider to straighten it out or an outsider? I want to see new faces, I am more interested in seeing who will be brought in as staff appointees. Do you (plural, not you directly BFAC)trust appointments based on donations or internal associations? I believe that is why Trump may be more appealing to many of the voters, and especially those Democrat voters who are unhappy with the Democrats. The possibility of fresh faces exists more with Trump. Look at the other side, a possible felon, and some old cranky white guy looking for the good old days of the USSR.

Know what I think? The GOPe sees this as an easy election to win, by anyone in the GOPe. Are they aware, that, that kind of thinking will backfire on them as it has in the past? Even if they won with a picked candidate, can we really expect any kind of change in the way business is run in DC? I think most of you know the answer.

well i thot it was a great speech overall and he got tremendous applause. he can articulate issues of concern concerning israel better than trump. some of the points where similar enough as the not be a difference on policy. cruz is a lawyer politician, d is not i think that encapsulates the difference.

It is his natural state. Default mode.

As a brilliant constitutional scholar and lawyer, he thinks he is the smartest person in any room.

When he gives his sermon-lectures, it shows too.

No wonder his own father explains he has been anointed.

Jewish people make up only 1.5% of the American population, and the great majority of them are Democrats who are concentrated in New York City and other metropolitan areas and would never vote for a Republican be he Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, or whoever.

American Jews are important in elections because they are major political donors. However, Donald Trump is not taking donations because he’s a billionaire, so only Ted Cruz can benefit from speaking to AIPAC, which he probably did by picking up a few extra millions from his pro-Israel speech.

But the major benefactor of Jewish money this election year is Jewish himself — Bernie Sanders, who once worked on an Israeli kibbutz.

In a head-to-head competition between Bernie and Donald Trump, Bernie wins by 10%, compared to Hillary’s 6%. If Bernie wins the big states — New York, California, Illinois — he’ll send Hillary and Bill home to Chattauqua, and he and his comrades will overrun the Winter Palace, er, the White House.

It’s not about Donald Trump anymore. It’s about freedom vs. a socialist dictatorship. Donald Trump and his 65% unfavorable rating cannot win the White House, so only Ted Cruz or John Kasich can save us. When will Republicans wake up?
