Why now? Never worked before.
Darnold, please take note!
And why did Bush/Cheney start that mess in the first place without funding it. They thought we would get the oil and pay for the war that way.
Regarding drawing of boundaries. During the colonial period boundaries were drawn to put enemies in the same countries—divide and rule the goal. This has made a mess of the middle east, east and west Africa among other places. Perhaps the boundaries could be redrawn and an international commission set up for each region and money for resources allocated fairly among the redrawn countries. A whole lot of negotiation, but perhaps less warfare.
My son fought in Gulf War 1 and he definitely believes that the Kurds should have an autonomous region or an independent country. Am I correct in my understanding the the Turkish Kurds are somehow connected with Communism, and the Russians to a considerable extent?
See my comment #123 regarding the problem of countries with unnatural borders. Of course to implement such a program a great deal of preliminary negotiation would be needed
