1. The Trooper says he was trained to shoot any dog that approaches him. Either the Trooper is overstating his training or that protocol needs to be evaluated.
2. Part of what saved this woman from conviction was a video on a phone the police confiscated but couldn't unlock. Aren't we lucky the phone didn't have a "back door" on it, like the Feds are demanding of Apple?
Until about 10 years ago we never heard of cops killing dogs. In the last 10 years it seems epidemic. Something has changed. I’m sure its not the dogs; police rules seem to have changed.
If this is part of their training, islam has infiltrated officer training w/r/t dogs.
I doubt that this is official policy anywhere, but just one of those extra "techniques" passed on. It has become almost standard practice these days. Shooting the family dog generally brings absolutely no charges against the cop and it is a "macho" way to get their attention and "cooperation".
I hope they sue the personal sh1t out of this thug with a badge.
If that’s the training: kill all dogs, then the Police Department could be liable for civil prosecution.
this 'training' needs to cease and desist. Teaching people to be emotionless towards the bond people have with their pets is the first step in teaching people to have emotionless responses to humans. That this officer chose to confiscate all electronic devices and lie about the incident demonstrates he's learned his lesson so well that he has become a danger to other officers.
Auto back up to the cloud all video.
Cops learned their lesson. From now on it will "get the guy with the camera first".
