I want to thank you for being harsh on me in our dialogue. I now understand why “jus soli” along with “jus sanguinis”, both together make the ‘natural born’ citizen. I had been over stating one key aspect of ‘subject to the jurisdiction’, that of political, while failing to see the importance of the place of residence. I totally disregarded the words in the case of Elk v. Wilkins that I, myself, have relied upon, “complete jurisdiction”, both local & political.
Again, thank you for keeping my feet to the fire. It has been very much appreciated.

The "subject to the jurisdiction" aspect is by far more difficult to show than the "jus soli" aspect; in large part due to the majority opinion in WKA which provides an over-broad application of the phrase "subject to the jurisdiction," as sweeping in those who owe only local obedience to the laws.
Your gratitude is much appreciated. I have little patience (as if you didn't know that!), but other than those who clearly know better, I try to cut lots of slack even toward a person who is persistently incorrect.
You and I get to the same place, just via different routes.
