The source is tainted...and the question asked what I thought about what mittens said. So I considered the source, one who just a few years was gushing about Trump and is now behaving like a party hack and attacking him.

But to take a hack at answering your question...IMO, generalizing against a Presidential contender is extremely poor form, especially one who has signed a loyalty pledge to “your party” (see my tagline).

I consider his remarks to be quite redundant to the charges already laid at Trump’s feet...

For the record, I am still on neutral ground with regards to Trump and Cruz, it’s still a long way to the nomination and lots of extraneous and inane things are being said and posted.

I have posted on occasion some of my concerns about Trumps recent “conversions” and “evolutions”. I appreciate what Trump’s campaign is doing to the gopE and the others in DC who have refused to exercise their powers and authority. I view Cruz as a Constitutionalist and have a deep appreciation for his views on Constitutional issues.

Is either candidate perfect? No. Is either candidate flawed? IMO, yes. But we’re human, we’re supposed to be flawed. I guess it boils down to degrees or levels of “flawed” in a sense when it comes to selecting a nominee and the person’s perspective on what those flaws mean.

DC needs an enema of epic proportions...I have my reservations about whether or not Trump would be able to implement any real changes if Congress refuses to cooperate because of his bombastic and confrontational style. I have my doubts that Cruz could be successful as well from the POV that Congress may refuse to cooperate with him as well or that Cruz may be beholden to the “elite” in DC.

As a team, I am of the opinion that they could do great things for America.

Trying to get relevant and factual information on FR nowadays (like one used to be able to do) is like trying to pick the pepper out of fly specks.

The infighting on FR is getting depressing, maddening really...I appreciate peoples passion for their candidate. But at the end of the campaign, once the dust settles, most of us will hopefully still be here. We’re going to have to “live” with each other and I’d rather not see sniping (like what’s been going on about Romney 2012) towards folks who retained their principles and voted their conscience as they saw fit.

In closing, to any from either camp, I’m simply posting my still neutral opinions/positions, so I respectfully ask that you hold your fire.

FRegards,
SZ

HOUSTON, Texas – Presidential candidate Ted Cruz today announced eight former national finance committee members of the Jeb Bush presidential campaign have joined the Cruz for President National Finance Committee. Yesterday, the campaign announced it shattered its fundraising goals with more than $66 million raised to date, and had it’s biggest fundraising month since launching, with nearly $12 million raised in the month of February. To date, the Cruz campaign has earned 225,000 donations, with an average of $52 per donation.

“I am excited to welcome this outstanding new group to our finance team,” said Cruz. “They arrive at a pivotal time for our campaign, as the field is winnowing down to a two-person race. I am honored to have such an impressive committee. It is yet another sign that conservatives are coalescing behind our campaign.”

The following are the new members of the Cruz national finance team:

“Cruz is setting himself up to cut a deal, one that benefits Cruz.”

Cruz is in it to win just like Trump. Cruz represents a certain set of policies and positions that his supporters are backing. He has a responsibility to put that agenda forward.

I hope he does not think he can trust the GOPe. They despise him and may try to use him to dilute Trump’s support to get an open convention, and then sideline him and Trump.

“look behind the thin veneer of Cruz”

Cruz has a solid track record as a Constitutional conservative. If you don’t like his foreign policy advisors, you need to use the same level of scrutiny on Trump’s advisors.

I prefer Cruz. I can support Trump. I’m not particularly impressed by the foreign policies of either, but I think they both can do a good job on domestic issues. I doubt either are going to push our nation into more international conflict than we already are part of.

I have been unfollowing all pages on Facebook that use clickbait headlines.

When I see the word “THIS” in a headline, I go for the unlike button.

No argument with the substance of your post, just the placement. I suppose I’ll see it pasted in a gardening thread as well.
