If you are right then, the dems win with a smaller margin with Mr. Etch-A-Sketch. That being said, I think you quite are wrong about Trump losing. So I think I will stick with Trump and skip the Mormon weather vane.

Romney couldn’t take on Candy Crowley. How could he help the GOPe?

Yes, lie again. A bulwark against Hillary Clinton — like the bulwark they have been against Barak Obama. Just how stupid does McConnell think we are anyway?

Do they seriously think anyone other than elitist establishment Trump haters will vote for this LOSER. Romney was such an embarrassment on the last election that it pains me to admit I voted for him.

I’ve said from day one, the GOP will do something underhanded to yank the nomination from Trump if it kills them and the party. They made him sign a pledge to support the party nominee, but they have no intention of supporting him when it turns out he fooled them and got it anyway.

He’s also pulling voters form Democrats and Independents, he’s been setting the narrative and staying ahead of their game all along, I think if he did decide to go 3rd party if they screw him, he could probably still win. His current base of supporters will stay with him no matter what, if he runs 3rd party I don’t think a thing will change, he will still pull a lot of voters who wouldn’t admit it if they were asked, but when the curtains close, it’s a different story.

I feel like the party has abandoned us long ago in favor of globalization and the cheap labor lobbies. These groups have bribed their way to the front of the line and get their way ahead of the needs of real hard working Americans.
They’re is clearly only one candidate that cares about the people ahead of this corrupt political class.

If the GOPe tries to replace Rubio with Romney, I predict Trump will absolutely slaughter Romney even more than Rubio.

Romney will finally spell Trump’s doom.

There is no better way to stop an anti-establishment candidate in an anti-establishment year than with the ultimate insider establishment politician. Romney even supports Obamacare, Amnesty, and restricting our individual right to keep and bear arms. Romney’s motto: “Losing in 2016 by less than our 2012 Loss!”

Trump hasn’t got a chance.

Conservatives could also write in Trump; they don’t have to stay home.

Yeah, we can see how well the media can crush the Don.
It’s the other way around silly.
Do you work for the media?....’cause the media is the only folks that agree with you.

Question: How can Romney even get on the ballots for most of these states? Haven’t the deadlines long since passed by?

He would have to scab on to the ballot as the candidate of a party already qualified in that state.

I think it varies all over the country. Here in Indiana in 2012 there were votes tabulated for 9 different POTUS candidates. Although 98.5% of the votes were for Romney and Obama.

Depends where you live. Remember, Presidential elections, you’re not electing a President, you’re electing Electors who will then cast THEIR vote for President, etc.

If there are no Electors for Trump, it’s wasted.

Is the GOP planning on him running to purposely lose??!!

Hillary is corrupt as they come, and can be bought cheaply. And that is all the GOP-e wants.

Trump will not win 2/3 of the delegates tomorrow. These are not winner-take-all states, but mostly proportional. Some (like Texas) are partially based on the entire state’s vote and partially on a per Congressional District basis. Trump will do well to get 1/2 of the votes...

...but even given that, your thesis holds: Trump will be the victor. There is simply no one who can stop him at this point - “they” waited too long to do anything about him, content to wait for Trump to implode. They didn’t calculate a very ticked off electorate that was sick and tired of them and their usual shennanigans.

I, personally, don’t know how Romney even will be allowed to register in most states - filing deadlines have passed in most cases. He has no organization to speak of right now, and by the time that March 15 rolls around, I believe that Carson and Cruz - at a minimum - will be out of the race. Rubio is likely to leave if he cannot win his own state (particularly without Bush there to split FL voters). So, who is left? No one. The only “hope” of the anti-Trumpers is an independent run by someone. Bloomberg would, IMHO, take more votes from Hillary than from Trump, especially in the NY area. At best we might - from the perspective of the GOPe - be looking at no one earning 270 Electoral Votes...and that’s a whole new ballgame.

“Trump signed a pledge to stay with the Republican Party.

I would bet that the GOP didn’t sign a pledge to stay with Trump.”

I simply cannot imagine Trump signing a deal where only he committed to do something, and the other side has no obligations. No how, no way - if he did that, he’d be more stupid than the people that he criticizes for negotiating the Iran deal, the TPP deal, etc., etc. No way, no how.

If the Pubbies knife Trump, it’ll have to be very unofficial (which I don’t put beyond them). I am sure that Trump is prepared for this...he and his people are not stupid, and they can at least read as well as all of us about how the GOPe hates him and will do whatever is necessary to cut him out.
