I find this unsettling. Unless he has walked this back, he is on record as saying as much as he hates it, our Constitution, the very document he would swear to “preserve, protect and defend” will always take a second place to security.
The devil is in the details. This is one detail I could never justify.

He is already on record. Plus he says boycott Apple because they ar fighting the FBI in court.
Don't forget Trump; he's not interested in protecting your Constitutional right to privacy either.
Odd, I read that as D hating encroaching on the BOR.
I read it as much as he hates the idea, he would encroach in the name of security.
