Proxy wars such as this have always been used to test/prove weapons systems. If you look closely, you can see the tank crew exiting after the missile strike. It’s not clear the extent of the damage to the tank.

Did not see any secondaries and crew exiting vehicle (especially the turret) means the shot was not a “kill”. T90 probably has explosive reactive armor which disrupts the shaped charge gases used by the TOW to penetrate.

If the TOW was unsuccessful...why bail out of the tank? Even if the missile didn't penetrate, could you imagine the concussion from the hit. Would had to have been deafening.
