Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas noticeably toughened his stance on immigration Monday night, saying in an interview that the U.S. should deport all 12 million illegal immigrants now here.
In an interview with Fox News, host Bill O'Reilly asked Mr. Cruz whether he would "round up all 12 million illegal aliens here, and if so, how?" Mr. Cruz replied, "yes, we should deport them. We should build a wall, we should triple the Border Patrol. Federal law requires that anyone here illegally that's apprehended should be deported." When Mr. O'Reilly pressed him how this would happen and whether a President Cruz would tell federal law-enforcement to actively seek out illegals, the Texan didn't back away. "Look, Bill, of course you would. That's what ICE exists for. We have law enforcement that looks for people who are violating the laws, that apprehends them and deports them," Mr. Cruz said.
In earlier interviews, Mr. Cruz had parried questions about what the federal government should do with the illegal immigrants already here and downplayed what he called a "deportation force." "I don't intend to send jackboots to knock on your door and every door in America. That's not how we enforce the law for any crime," he told CNN in the runup to the Iowa caucuses. According to the Dallas Morning News, Mr. Cruz had for years ducked the question of what to do with illegals here, saying that was a question only worth asking and answering once the U.S.-Mexico border is secure.

Ahem, just in case you don’t know it, he is just a senator and cannot order or demand a wall/fence be built and deport 12 million illegals. You.......do.......understand that don’t you?
Drafting behind Trump
“What will Marco do? First in English... “
The Cabana Boy had the same questions to answer. He danced around like a used car salesman with an ice cube in his jock! Said that it would “be up to the voters” after the border was secured. Now, if that’s not BS I don’t know what is!
You can make it bigger or smaller when posting.
Just add height=’xxx’ between the <> and preview the results. Adjust as needed. It scales it proportionately unless you add the “width” option.
Back of the 5 to 10 year quota line would be fine.
But when he uses the word "expedite", that implies something totally different.
I’d deport Donald Trump just because of his propensity to being an anchor husband.
Just now:
@realDonaldTrump: Ted Cruz said on @oreillyfactor that illegals sent out of country by my administration would come right back as citizens. Another lie-crazy!
Correct. Cruz supports, and has supported, enforcing the existing laws. This is nothing new.
Keep criticizing Cruz for an act of Christian charity. It tells me much more about you than about the candidate.
Post of the Day! How many wives has he smuggled into this country? :-) Donny may have to fire Melania, because she would not be a Natural Born First Lady (NBFL).
They were children in detention in a foreign, unfamiliar land. You’re not a Christian, are you?
“Or let me see....we arrest all drunk drivers. All of them. But we canât post police at every bar and nab all of them all at once. Same goes for any category of lawbreaker.”
Poor analogy! Drunks, who are still inside the bar, haven’t broken the law. Not so with illegal aliens, they are fair game anywhere anytime. During WWII we were able to round up all the Japanese, we just need the will to do it. And I get a little tired of this BS about “due process” for the illegals. They don’t get due process because they are not citizens. How do you go to court to challenge a visa overstay?
Your post is very misleading.
Cruz used his trip to the border to launch his fight against Obama's DACA Dreamers amnesty.
You do know that right?
The f*** it was, liar.
