A more accurate “guess” was that the total for all three was around $18 million. Deduct a third of that for the attorneys, and then deduct $5 million in expenses during the case, and you’ve got $7 million left, to be split three ways. And then take out applicable taxes.

So each one got less than $2 million.

Their civil cases were gutted by a leftist judge who ruled that federal laws permitting civil rights suits apply only to blacks, and not to whites (or latinos, or native americans, or anyone else).

And believe it or not, that is the holding of the case law for the Fourth Circuit (Virginia, W. Virgina, NC, SC, and Maryland).

In the rest of the country, the federal civil rights laws cover everyone.

(what a great country: the south applies laws differently according to race...)
