Shades of 1971. The Islamists in Bangladesh are considered traitors by a good majority of the citizens of that country, Muslims included. The political leaders of the Islamist parties are remnants of the collaborators of the Pakistani regime from the days of the independence war. Bangladeshis who have any national pride in their country are not receptive to the message of the Islamists. They feel more an ethnic affinity to other Bengalis be they in India or Bangladesh than to the Islamist who align more with the military elements in today's Pakistan, then West Pakistan. In is only logical to assume that the majority of Bangladeshi people are not sympathetic to those who committed genocide against them 40 years ago.

The motive for the murder was not clear It's just another murder that has nothing in common with other murders, has no motive, and therefore remains unsolved. (HT: Jules Feiffer)

"Hindi and Islamists have been at war for 1300 years."
According to their koran islamists have been engaged in a war of world conquest with everyone for the past 1,300 years.
