If Bush drops out before Florida... I would expect most of his support to go to Rubio... would might be enough to rocket Rubio to the lead.
A lot depends on how strong Rubio finishes in SC. If Rubio is anywhere near the top, expect wall to wall Rubio comeback coverage.

I feel a little sad for him. It’s never a good thing for any man to be reduced to dragging himself to his next humiliation. But we need a fighter who will willingly get as dirty as needed to win. Yeb was given a chance to do that with Mrs Shiavo and he did the “well I tried” dance.
Keep in mind that FL is a closed primary. Rubio is loved in south FL where the population is concentrated as well as media. But most of the Republican votes lie north. Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Be Counties are heavily Democratic. That gang of 8 did not play well in other places in the state.
I remember the mewling triumphalism of Bush 1 as he began dismantling the Reagan revolution, bleating about a ‘kinder, gentler’ American and working together with the Democrats.
I am so happy he has lived long enough to see his life’s work unraveling.
Oh pipe down! I didn’t see the tag line. Bottom line, there’s way too much nasty angst on this forum. My candidate is not Trump and not Bush, yet I’m not going off, bashing other people’s candidates, especially the Trump supporters who seem to be the worst against other forum regulars’ candidates. It’s really gone beyond the pale. I hope we can all reconcile once the nominee is secured.

But the insulting, berating, belittling, and degrading of other Freepers because one has a disdain for those other Freepers’ candidates is wrong, inexcusable. Get my point? I hope so.
