I think we need to dial it back just a bit. "Liar" denotes malicious intent. Just because "Company Man" suspects Cruz, and may be wrong in his suspicions, doesn't mean we have to call another FReeper "liar". Trump may do that sort of thing, but we don't have to follow his lead. In fact, I'm a whole lot less likely to support Trump because of his Alinsky style campaign tactics.

We're all on the same team, here. We're better than this, i.e. personal attack crap. And ya know, we have to be. Eventually, we're all going to have to come together and beat the progressive candidate.

You’re right but there’s no reason or evidence to base the suspicion on other than supporting Trump or Rubio. Insinuations are not any better in my book. Literally anyone on the Internet could have created it. I lost all respect for Trey Gowdy.

UPDATE (3:24 p.m.): Responding to Gowdy's comments, Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler criticized the Rubio surrogate for "throwing around wild accusations without any evidence whatsoever," pointing specifically to the Facebook page, which he said the Cruz campaign had nothing to do with

"This is called a smear campaign, and it's beneath the dignity of a sitting member of the House of Representatives," Tyler said before asking, "does the Marco Rubio campaign really believe it's going to smear it's way to victory?"

This is a smear by Rubio's team against Cruz about a facebook page that was created by no telling who. For all we know, somebody from the Trump campaign could have done it.

Gowdy was never that conservative in the first place

The fact that he was/is a lousy chairman for the Benghazi investigation is one thing. He has always been an excellent conservative and well-represents his constituents, which is what we voted for. Cruz fans should take note- it just goes to show that being a 'real conservative' doesn't make one a good leader or manager. Cruz may be a great 'constitutional conservative' but he is not a leader, he does not know how to get people to do what he wants.

The fake facebook page was only part of Gowdy's complaint, and came after his charge that Cruz's campaign is lying. What he said was:
"In the last week, we have seen a systematic effort by Sen. Cruz and his allies to spread false information and outright lies in the hopes of winning votes by appealing to our lowest common denominator."

Hey, you could be right. However, you don't think that a DU Silicon Valley lefty couldn't have done this to stir up the race? I have no doubt that even on FR, we've been infiltrated by progressive activists, even some accounts with very old registration dates.

Bottom line is, we have no proof who did it. We're ALL conservatives. If one of these guys (sans Kasich) wins, we all win. If Trump win's, hang on tight, it's gonna be a wild ride. We have no idea if he'll be a conservative President, but we can hope. I think he'll definitely shake things up and do things unconventionally, and for some FREEPERS, that's enough.

Let's not gaslight each other on FR over these issues when we don't know the facts. It's just not constructive to our long term goals. Ultimately, we're all on the same team.
