Trump, Rubio and Carson have stooped to really petty ploys lately. So far nothing ties Cruz to any of the crap they have been spewing.
Gowdy just got 12 more people to interview due to FBI information. I listen to him when I see he has an interview and he was on Fox after the SC debate. He’ll do his job and I hope he gets them all. Why do 12 sorties a week when you can do 1000?
UPDATE (3:24 p.m.): Responding to Gowdy’s comments, Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler criticized the Rubio surrogate for “throwing around wild accusations without any evidence whatsoever,” pointing specifically to the Facebook page, which he said the Cruz campaign had nothing to do with.
Gowdy should have found out who put it up. His public announcement should have been to state his position and then tell everyone he will investigate it in full.
Get back to work on Clinton and our national security, please.

Slurs? Do you deny that he supports PP? He said so himself. Last week, in fact. Do you deny he has an extraordinarily close relationship with the Clintons? He admitted that on his own. Those are facts, not slurs. Then again, all the facts about Trump are insults so I see how you would be confused.
Yeah - right. He apologized to Carson even though the apology should have come from CNN and Carson’s staffer and all everyone said was if he apologized then he’s accepting responsibility for doing it. He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.
I don’t care who you support but this ridiculous crap is out of control. At this rate whoever gets the nomination will have a hard time pulling everyone together because of all the excrement thrown around.
This whole Cruz mess really bugs me. If it was any other candidate on the field at the moment doing this, I would roll my eyes, probably gripe about it a little, mutter about politics, and then move on.
But Cruz has tried to market himself as the super-Christian candidate before going out and doing... this. Depending on how sincere he is with his earlier marketing, he’s either giving Christians a bad name, or he’s making a mockery of us.
Especially because less than a year ago, I was a huge fan of Cruz’s.
And I’m thinking, ‘What caused the big change?’ And alternately, ‘Why didn’t I see this before?’
The usual suspects would call me a cultist, or a Trumpbot, or various other nasty names, but I’m really wondering what changed so much to make me admire a man and then change it into very nearly loathing him.

How is “Trey Gowdy Prayers” Cruz’s fault? The page was created 2 years ago, before either Cruz or Rubio announced any intention of running, and long before Gowdy endorsed anybody. There is no proof that the Cruz campaign had anything to do with it. Furthermore, this page had only ~2000 followers before it was taken down, so very few had actually heard of it before Gowdy made a scene.
Not the FB page itself, because there’s really no proof it’s connected to Cruz’s campaign, but rather the steady stream of nastiness coming both from Cruz and his supporters.
When Trump says something uncouth, it’s typically because he’s a New Yorker and that’s how they tend to talk. I know from experience that even the nicest people in NYC often sound like they’re total assholes to the rest of the country. I know when I moved back to MO from a year in NYC that I had to quickly readjust my own mode of communication.
But Cruz has lifted himself up as the super-Christian candidate, and if I were in that position, I would have made double, triple, and quadruple sure that there was not even the slightest HINT of dishonesty in my campaign. And now with all this crap coming out, it’s really aggravating.
He said not abortions but you can’t hear that. As a rich man I imagine he knows lots of people including the Clintons. Doubtfully he socializes with people who are in his bracket. I don’t expect to hob nob with him. I would be concerned about Cruz friendship with Roberts of Obamacare fame, Mercer of tax cheating fame and the shady guy Jeff Roe who runs his campaign if I were you. This anonymous donors of Cruz have likely socialized with Clintons too. Cruz has been in DC circles since 1999 the typical insider but no one likes him.

He said they do “wonderful things”. What do they do but abortion and STD testing? The “services” they provide can be found elsewhere without abortion being in the mix. There is no need to fund PP and he should be ashamed to have ever suggested it.

Cop out if I ever heard one. “Knowing” someone and actively socializing with them are two different things. He has praised Hillary in the past and has participated in events with her.

What does this have to do with Trump? Nothing. Red Herrings like usual. Even if Cruz supported Roberts in the past, so did many other Conservatives. Cruz has condoned Robert’s part in Obamacare and has even actively fought against it in the Senate. And “shady” how? “Shady” isn’t really a testimony about character. It is a valueless and shallow point to make not based on any real facts. Trump’s relationships bother me more than the ones you have fabricated for Cruz. Trump said he would appoint his Pro-abort sister as a member of the SCOTUS. Not only does that reveal he doesn’t care about pro-life issues, but he is also a nepotist.

First, you make impetuous assumptions about people who are not even on record. While you’re chasing that fairy dream, people can attest to the fact that Trump has a relationship with the Clintons. Plus, you just contradicted yourself.If no one likes him, how can he be an insider? Insiders depend upon political support to get by and succeed. Additionally, Cruz is supported by top Conservatives like Steve King and Mike Lee. Do you have anything to say about those two?
