Then you missed my entire post .
Maybe, maybe, you have gone Cruz blind to truth.
Trump has to assemble, lead and satisfy more people on just one project than Senator Cruz has ever worked with.
“And having a reality tv show makes Trump a celebrity not a leader.”
Again, it seems you have no idea what ne’er standing of what is involved.
And that’s ok.
Just when we were having an in-depth exchange, you resort to insulting me and dismissing my point of view.
We’ll just have to agree to disagree.
Ha!
You best reread the exchange.
Why?
The poll shows him in second place in VA.
He cannot be easily dismissed, because if it wasn't for the Gang of Eight, he'd be a great candidate.
Your points:
“Being an attorney and a politician is very different than being a leader that people follow.”
And I said it depends on the person, and you responded”
“Can they lead in a way people follow?
Do they get things done?
Can they work with people who have different priorities and interests to move our country forward?
Will they do what’s in the best interest of our country - despite opposition and criticism?
And when have they actually and successfully done these things in real life?”
*******
I had already listed further up in the thread in Post #27 things Cruz has done that fit your list.
The problem I have with your exchange “aMorePerfectUnion” is that you want to diminish Cruz as not being “leadership” material and yet elevate Trump to leadership status because he hires people.
Being employed by someone does not make you see them as your leader or as someone you are following.
Then you should be easily able to show not just what Cruz stands for, but all he accomplished and all who followed him to a win.
An assignment!?
You know the answers and so do I.
Cruz’s win in Iowa, 2nd place in NH, his national ground game and endorsements around the country - he’s in and he’s going to win!
And he’s been consistent and dependable - very important leaderships qualities.

Jan 13, 2004: FTC Policy Planning Director Ted Cruz Appointed Solicitor General of Texas
“....Mr. Cruz has led the Office of Policy Planning since June of 2001. The Office assists the Commission in developing and implementing long-range policy and legal objectives, advises on cases raising novel or complex legal issues, and directs the FTC’s Competition Advocacy program. In addition, Mr. Cruz has chaired the FTC’s State Action Task Force, Noerr-Pennington Task Force, and Internet Task Force. He argued successfully for the agency in In re Buspirone, 185 F.Supp.2d 363 (S.D.N.Y. 2002), a major Noerr precedent that cleared the way for continued antitrust scrutiny of anticompetitive conduct that could frustrate the sale of generic pharmaceuticals to consumers. And, he organized a ground-breaking three-day public workshop at the FTC examining possible anticompetitive efforts to restrict competition on the Internet.
Prior to his tenure at the FTC, Mr. Cruz served as Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, as Domestic Policy Advisor to President Bush on the Bush-Cheney campaign, and as a law clerk to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist on the U.S. Supreme Court....”
July 17, 2002: FTC to Host Public Workshop to Explore Possible Anticompetitive Efforts to Restrict Competition on the Internet
On October 8-10, 2002, the Federal Trade Commission will host a three-day public workshop to explore how certain state regulations and private business practices may be having significantly anticompetitive effects on e-commerce. Some private estimates suggest that the potential costs to consumers of these anticompetitive restrictions “may exceed $15 billion annually.”......
So no real world accomplishments other than talking?
Ted Cruz and the South Carolina dentists - how Cruz has helped small business and free markets.
For you (what I've gathered from your comments) Trump is a "leader" for hiring and paying employees who build something (you do realize that they'd work for whatever entity pays them); which to me, doesn't make him a "leader," it makes him a businessman (with a company he has explained had to file bankruptcy 4 times).
Not all of his ventures have succeed but I don't hold that against him, that happens in business [one example: Trump Airlines: ..."In September of 1990 Trump defaulted on his loan and control of the airline went back to the banks led by Citibank."....]

No that is not what I wrote. Either you’ve gone “Cruz-blind” to facts, or you really don’t understand business at all - including the business of massive real estate development on an international scale.
Good luck in the campaign.
Good luck to you too.
